Again, there’s the link to the meeting. Items in blue can be clicked for supporting slides, data, etc. This is a massive project. IMO, it will require a rock star coach and team for it to make sense. Given the current state of affairs, it goes without saying that Butch is not that guy. Who is?

And yet you have done the same to me, and for some reason I still engage. But it seems to be your pattern to disengage when someone asks a legit question.

Just as a rule, I wouldn't judge how much smarter you are than anyone on this site. There are Ivy grads, lawyers, engineers, and I bet even a few rocket scientists. You just sound like a dolt charging against SFD.

I agree. I have a really hard time believing this narrative. I think people are reaching for a dramatic story that I don't believe exists. I go back to Albert Haynesworth's tweet. He thanked him for trying to make UT great again. He obviously heard something different than what some folks are stretching to believe.

As in I'll pay the buyout, but I'll have a final say on the coach. That's how it works.

If he's smart, he'll figure what he did wrong last time and make sure it doesn't happen again!

If not for this factor I would have been lower on my scale .... however when someone looses at something and they have drive like I imagine Ergen to have.... It should only make them more driven the next time to win

Stated he was a MBB consulting type.

The Big Three or MBB refers to the name colloquially given to the world's three largest strategy consulting firms by revenue. McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG)

FYI...one of UT's most distinguished alums works for mckinsey (sp?). She's a Rhodes scholar and was president of the alumni association during the 2012 debacle.

Well, may have already been considered and asked, so I apologize if so. But as I sit here going through these threads and thoughtful insight, it is obvious some know, some wish they knew, and others are just here. Regardless, which category you fall into, I think the things we all have in common are we are Vols and we all just wonder....

Where the hell is Daniela??!!!

Do you really think the haslams picked Butch Jones over gruden?

I believe they picked keeping the power structure in place. Coach was distant second. Also, the last effort in 2012 was much more disorganized by boosters and Academic side was a different landscape then.

It could be argued, due to those factors at that time, Haslam had good reason to stick with status quo.
