The Grude News, the midday edition. For those just tuning in.
Lot of actual news today.
Face won the morning funny contest with his well timed and applied usage of the Olive Garden Saga in a post.
A lot of discussion on the concussion protocols in NCAA football. With not a lot of good answers in reference to the Kendrick situation. I'm afraid this one will have to play out before we find out the "truth" of the matter.
And...Boro at it again. Says someone (unspecified) is putting personal gain over the interests of the University. He's really good about dropping bombs like that.
However, sources seem to be drying up in Knoxvegas. Could be a good sign the AD is clamping down on leaks that could ruin things.
But isn't doing our impatience any good.
Tony Basilio went straight anti-Haslam on his show today. Nothing held back and it was epic.
3rdDegreeVol basically summed up that the Haslams have controlled the AD for a while. But Ergen is leading the resistance movement against them and it's coming to a head.
ClearWaterVol, one of our lawyers, stated he would "absolutely" take the Kendrick case. He said he wouldn't guarantee victory, but would take the case on merits. (I kinda like lawyers that are Vol fans)
Cabvol asked an interesting question which could be a piece of the puzzle missing. Asked if Davenport turning down the outsourcing was the first shots in the resistance taking control away from the Haslams and that Ergen was wearing the big boy pants now. Certainly an interesting question and potentially very accurate.
It seems that if we arrange the pieces paid out before us and look at the subtle undertones, we could very well be witnessing a major shift in power at the BOT level at the University. Time will obviously tell on this one whether or not the power struggles will come out in the wash, but enough evidence is there to suggest something major going on. This is my opinion of course, but the evidence is there, though circumstantial. I'd like to thank SFD and Hawk for doing a lot of the legwork on this one.
No major lol news on this update. Straight business.
From the entire Volnation News Team, I'm Grand Vol and I've a feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore.
