The article was certainly pro-UCF and the state of Florida's recruiting base is just about all they have to sell that is on par with the big schools. Admittedly however, it is a big selling point.
I mentioned this the other day and continue to feel this way...the Florida recruiting gold mine is being spread out more and more. Florida, FSU, Miami, UCF, USF and now FAU are all fighting over the same recruits, not to mention all the poaching that takes place from out-of-state schools including Tennessee.
I'd be curious to look at how many Florida 4* & 5* players in the next couple of classes compared to Tennessee 4* & 5*. We might find the Florida gold mine is being spread thinner and thinner while Tennessee will obviously not suffer from the same level of competition for talent. These figures will either support my argument to some degree or just provide further proof that I don't know what I'm talking about...haha!

9 mill buyout he's not leaving
Is there any Campbell to VOLS discussion? I think he'd be a better risk than Frost.
Coach A has a 3 mil dollar buyout and will have to paid 6 mil a year. After 5 years we have spent 33 mil.
Coach Campbell has a 9 mil buyout but can be hired for 4.5mil a year which doubles his salary. After 5 years we spent 31.5 mil.
The buyout talk is foolish if we can hire him cheaper which I think we can.
Florida will continue to be #1 but your larger point is correct. Tennessee is producing more top level talent every year. However, I think it's unwise to assume it won't be spread just as thin as it is in Florida.
A good Tennessee football team will get the majority, sure, but Ole Miss will pick off some West TN guys, Vandy will get one or two, Alabama gets whomever they seriously push for, Georgia will get a handful, and Clemson has proven to have a Knoxville pipeline.
