Hey bass master, I just want to apologize for my post earlier this morning. I shouldn’t have told you to shut up and edited my post to reflect that. I cannot stand anyone using that phrase, and I should not have used it either.

Odds coaches don't start 2018 with current school

■ Butch Jones, Tennessee: 1-9

■ Bret Bielema, Arkansas: 2-1

■ Mike Riley, Nebraska: 2-3

■ Jim Mora, UCLA: 1-1

■ David Beaty, Kansas: 1-1

■ Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M: 3-2

■ Lovie Smith, Illinois: 8-1

■ Gus Malzahn, Auburn: 10-1

■ Jim Harbaugh, Michigan: 12-1

Oddsmaker: 12-1 odds Harbaugh won't be UM's coach in 2018

$100 on Gus and Jim could pay off big. I don't think Jim would be fired but I could see him running back to the NFL. Not sure what his buyout to leave is though. Gus is probably the best bang for your buck.

The guy at Kansas is awful. Don't see how they can keep him.

So the thought is Big Jim is holding up Gruden deal and Currie is slow playing, but for who?

RF who you got as the dark horse?

I think we could equal Florida's pay and we don't give the coach a nervous breakdown.. (they only get fat, run away in the night, end up on crutches, and turn purple)

sorry about the editing, it's early..

Latest from Swain this morning....while realizing many don’t care what he says:

Glazers have mended fences with Gruden and MAY offer him Bucs job again.
Grudens are buying home in Knoxville area.
They MAY move there permanently but that wouldn’t NECESSARILY mean Gruden would coach Vols and/or just advise them and be close to program.
ALL STATEMENTS had qualifying words except this one:
“I feel very positive that no matter who the Vols get this time that it won’t be bargain basement. The heavy hitters ARE GOING TO BACK UP THE BRINKS TRUCK. That should make Vol fans feel good to know”

The problem is there are very few coaches available worth backing the brinks truck up to.

That's also code for "Nebraska has no recruiting base so don't be shocked when I don't coach there."

I know a few Husker fans.
There will be severe depression for them if Frost picks another school over them.
Just imagine if our Peyton was coaching at a small school now and we offered him but he turned us down to go elsewhere.
Kinda the same thing for Nebraska right now.

Walt Wells has to be fired when Butch is. And it should've been yesterday.

I dont blame his parents for questioning, I'd be angry.

SIAP, but Hurd's were also out there posting about Jalen and his "lower body extremity" injury before Texas AM.

Or Gruden went to the Gators.

Says recruiting base is what could keep him at UCF longterm.

Well, UF has the same recruiting base and will double his pay.

Dammit.

The article was certainly pro-UCF and the state of Florida's recruiting base is just about all they have to sell that is on par with the big schools. Admittedly however, it is a big selling point.

I mentioned this the other day and continue to feel this way...the Florida recruiting gold mine is being spread out more and more. Florida, FSU, Miami, UCF, USF and now FAU are all fighting over the same recruits, not to mention all the poaching that takes place from out-of-state schools including Tennessee.

I'd be curious to look at how many Florida 4* & 5* players in the next couple of classes compared to Tennessee 4* & 5*. We might find the Florida gold mine is being spread thinner and thinner while Tennessee will obviously not suffer from the same level of competition for talent. These figures will either support my argument to some degree or just provide further proof that I don't know what I'm talking about...haha!

Yep. It’s hard to watch these videos of BK out on the field where he is quite obviously struggling. Can’t believe the coaches and medical staff allowed this to happen. Here’s a video that provides a longer look at that same play:
