He's at a minimum of 4.5 right now and probably more with incentives. MSU could probably get him over 5 and maybe to 5.5. It's all about comfort. No reason to risk a little more if he can continue to make them happy.

IMO the only real reason Mullen leaves for a place like UT is because it legitimately gives him a chance to play for an SEC title.

He may just like being the mayor of Starkville and have guaranteed 5M a year for life

I don't know. I don't watch them that closely. Just throwing out what I know. I have a great friend who has season tickets and been going for years. His dad knew Jackie Sherrell. I can just tell you that has been a point of contention and Mullen is loyal.

If he’s that loyal I would imagine the OL coach isn’t going anywhere and Mullen might not be as well. Either way I don’t know if the OL could be much worse than what we have now so I wouldn’t mind rolling the dice. Thanks for the info though.

Another year where we can barely field a team because of injuries. There are fluke years, this is a trend.
