Dude you know the answer, quit asking your imaginary friend to lie to you. There is zero reason to smokescreen anything. This isn't a smokescreen, it is just a dumpster fire.

Why isn't Butch and Walt suspended pending internal investigation since nobody wants to fire him. I just do not see how UT trots Butch out of the T during Homecoming of all times. I hope the boosters and their epic plans have a strategy for dealing with this new mess. I think this just shows even more why athletics should be independent of academics, there are complex issues that academic people know nothing about.

The Kendrick situation really screws up any control Currie may have wanted over the timing. He is currently being hung in the court of public opinion and may be forced to make alternative decisions, some of which may require a bit more behind-the-scenes work than we would like.

Yes. Definitely. I hope that's exactly what it is. What concerns me too...is that the ONLY thing we have ever heard from Currie is unwavering support for Butch. I hope like heck it's all a smokescreen...and I'm all for more positive Gruden speculation...even if it is just speculation. It's fun..gives hope.

If everyone would ignore them, they would go away. From a psychological perspective, they want attention and validation. If you give them that, they will stay around and bask in the light. If you ignore them, they will get tired and go away.

Not calling you or anyone specific out, just a general note on the state of this thread. These threads would be half the length, much easier to follow, and a lot of civil if folks wouldn't 'feed the trolls', so to speak. It's an anonymous chatroom on the internet, so I don't expect anyone to listen tbh.

I have been 100% on removal of Butch ever sense Georgia.... I am surprised he made it past Kentucky without an announcement .... Not surprised he is still here but I am about the lack of announcement after Kentucky

Well at this point if it is true and Currie allows him to coach game day then it's now his job that will also be axed.

To me this is the biggest turn of events esp in the public. Now Currier can't sit back and let things unfold on HIS timeline.

Now is the time when it's your job or mine. Currie wasn't at risk before and could let his plan play out, which likely was a good one. Now if he continues down that path he will be out also. He's got a choice to make, and if he's as smart as they claim then the answer will be easy. Beside it was the ultimate outcome, but with better financial outcome.

Again all this is assuming the story is true. Which given Jones history going back to Cincinnati, is most certainly plausible.
