I'm pretty certain if it isn't Gruden, and is some 'up-and-comer' most of us will check out completely from UT football as is

So yes I think if true we should have, or should, see an immediate response where he's effectively not the HC atleast for the game, but not truly dismissed yet.

Also feel that if Currie is trying to give BJ people time to find him another job Currie knows pulling him from his HC duties wouldn't exactly look well for other AD possibly wanting to hire Jones. But at the same time wouldn't matter because if we are able to terminate him with cause then it would be a better deal for the University.

I believe it the concussion is true the University would still be fine as long as the decision to not let him coach game day is made before said game day. And given how Currie is referred to as an AD who is meticulous with each move/decision he makes it makes perfect sense that he would give attorneys the few days to confirm there's no possible future implications that can come back on the university of the decision is made. Esp if he knew he had the work week to hash it all out.

To protect the university, Currie could be in a pickle at this point.

Hurd's mother tweeting Jones lied about her son's concussion as well. Maybe someone can find it. Russell Smith just reported. Didn't see it.

While I agree with you in general that a coach should go if he's not performing, but if Jones makes a bowl, that could've been Currie's out for keeping him, of course no one could see this disaster of a season coming.

Just saying it's not that far fetched of a theory if you sit and think about it

Yet the trainer knew nothing, the medical staff knew nothing nor did the SEC's rep know anything, but CBJ should be responsible and be fired for something he is not responsible for based on NCAA rules

No, there will be many that will celebrate mediocrity and their victory over the Gruden supporters. It will be a veritable orgy of call-outs and e-wang measuring.

Put very little stock into what Hurd's mom says. She has an axe to grind with Butch and she's probably just trying to pile on. She's not real happy about getting put in jail in Knoxville following her making an ass of herself at the Florida game last year. Hope she enjoys her boys tenure at Baylor..
