See this is the problem with you guys. My opinion differs so I gotta leave? Nah.

So, I typed this up and when i hit "post" it was already 4 pages behind lol...
So hear me out on this and somebody who has more knowledge of the situation please correct me or fill in the pertinent info because I don't know all of the facts in the AJ Johnson thing.
Here goes...
I was listening to a radio show at lunch earlier (Basilio) and there was a caller talking about the AJ Johnson incident a few years ago. He threw out the theory that maybe Butch has some information that he would make public if he was fired disgracefully or his buyout agreement wasn't honored to let him coach out the rest of the season or something (not saying that was the agreement, just in theory).
The caller stated the fact that Butch vehemently denied having any communication with AJ Johnson in the timeline of events shortly after the incident. He then pointed out that the newspaper of record collected the phone records of Butch, AJ, etc. and found that Butch did indeed call AJ 2 minutes after the police called Butch. It was a 4 minute call and could have been a call he made at the direction of the then AD (pure speculation about calling on behalf of the AD).
His point, which at the time I actually laughed out loud to because it just seemed so out there that it couldn't be believable, was that what if this was something that Butch is holding over the AD/University in an effort to "go out as gracefully as possible." I have to say I dismissed it when I first heard it, as impossible. But I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. First it was AJ, then the supposed Mack Crowder incident, then the Hurd lies, now Kendrick... I hate "what ifs," but man, this is tearing up my brain.
What if the altercation Sunday between Butch and Currie had something to do with this. Say Currie was ready to let Butch go after losing to Kentucky and the Kendrick situation. Butch says no, you have to stand by the agreement we made after the UGA game that he gets to finish out the season or else he sings like a canary.
I don't know. I'm just ready to believe anything regarding why this clown is still here. It makes no sense that he is still trotting out there representing our Power T unless he has some kind of leverage.
Again, this is pure conjecture. And someone please set me straight if this is way off base.
Thanks!
M
We as fans have two wants in all of this.
One thing gone and a specific one to replace it...
Behind the scenes there are literally hundreds of decisions to be finalized, with several different players involved. These decisions impact a lot of money, and a lot of power. Each player is clamoring for as much as they can possibly get when all is said and done.
Quick analogy because I love how all this interlaces with my profession..I swear I talk Army more on here than anywhere else. Not sure if that's good or bad
When I'm planning a flight of aircraft to land somewhere high, hot, heavy, hostile, and dark, there are a ton of variables to solve premission, enroute, and landing to the LZ.
Time will VERY rarely cancel a mission. You can push it left or right, or change the route to get there. The route seldom matters as long as it avoids enemy detection and gets you to the right spot. The most important part of any flight...Landing. Safely getting everyone back on the ground and in the right spot to continue the next phase of the mission.
I just thought I'd share. May help explains my addiction to the content as much as the outcome. It's the journey you have to enjoy as much as getting there.
Can anyone give me a quick rundown of the latest Beaver news/new info that's been released on here the past few days. Been slammed with work...
Forever grateful ahead of time.
Does it matter if I want him or not?
I was questioning certain things that could possibly cause harm to our favorite University.
I don't see anything wrong with that.
I don't think so. As has been mentioned already, the responsibility for managing concussions is not in the purview of the HC. Now, is the coaching staff responsible for making sure the medical staff has access? Sure.
I just haven't seen any allegations that the coaching staff knew about any issues, or prevented access by medical staff.
Administrative leave for an investigation would only be appropriate in the case of an investigation into wrong doing by an individual. In this case, it is investigation into the circumstances around an alleged fact (a concussion happened) in order to determine wrongdoing by any party.
