Empty Neyland Movement (#uncluttervolnation)

We are 0 and 5 in the SEC and playing a cream puff team. The stadium was going to be empty regardless of some silly boycott.

Who won what?

They wanted to see action. UT allowed the leak about the buyout being negotiated.

The movement put pressure on UT to show action, the rumor shows that action.

They won.

Now it's time to support UT by going to the game and being loud.

To boycott any games now it to say you want to keep Butch.

So then what is your point . If it was going to happen anyway what is a bunch of internet talk going to change anything. This is just another way for sunshine pumpers to whine about people that don't buy into everything going on in the AD office.

This is the free market at work and I’m fully supportive of anyone choosing to withhold spending their time and/or money on a product that doesn’t meet their personal standards. Capitalism is a beautiful thing.

having the choice is not the issue. of course, your time, your money, your choice.

but what you're describing is not a 'movement'.

Gosh, I bet those idiot admin people mentioned mistaken thought they were hired to run a UNIVERSITY to offer pathways to a better life through persuit of ACADEMIC enrichment. Somebody better tell them their jobs are really just General Managers of a NFL farm team.

Davenport started in February. Currie in April.

y'all aren't helping. you don't know if they suck or not yet.

This is just an embarrassment to the majority of the true fan base.

These movement people only care about the movement.

Fans care about the program.

No one is forced to join the “movement”, therefore it is exactly what I described.

forced? no. but they're actively recruiting, and telling people that they shouldn't go per their agenda.

that's not exactly the frameworks of capitalism as i understand it.

it is attention whoring at it's best though. on that, they've been somewhat successful, they are trending on twitter somewhere...

It's beginning to look like Butch Jones will not be the coach on Saturday.
This concussion issue is going to give Currie the leverage he needs for a easy out and get the fans back to the game.

Sad that the Empty Neyland Movement is what it took to bring out some of these scary truths on how Butch Jones treats his players.

This movement was always about helping the players.

Very sad these stories coming out.

I have faith Currie will pull the trigger now based on all these stories.

If this don't keep Butch off the sideline on Saturday the university is going to have major problems

So Currie got scared by a movement (that has yet to actually happen) and he's now gonna act on an issue that could potentially cost people their jobs (regardless of their previous job performance) and involve lawsuits because you threaten not to show up Saturday.

Attention whoring? That's a bit extreme don't you think..

People express their views and try to sway others to their side of things.. It goes on every day in this country. It's part of living in a free society.. Nobody is being coerced into doing this. It's not a bad thing..

What do you think this strategy will do to recruiting?

How do you think coaching candidates will view this?

I am all for it if you say, "If CBJ is still here at the beginning of the 2018 season, then we will have a #EmptyNeyland campaign"

That is fine because you have put it out there that this will happen if he is still here, but to want to do it more than half way through the season with a recruiting class that is already crumbling is the dumbest thing I have seen.

These young men that are playing on that field have done nothing to deserve this. There are some out there that only have a handful of football games left in Neyland, but also a handful left that they will ever play again.

I want CBJ gone just as bad as the rest of you, but this campaign is going to do nothing but hurt our program even more.

Because the previous recruiting "success" by this staff has done wonders for our program...

Ok👍

Couldn't explain the timeline of events and leaks to save face in the athletic department this week out of all weeks to some of you without visual aids, or a coloring book.

Sensitive much? You think you’re the only season ticket holder that’s upset?

We all want better but I refuse to become the fair weather fan that’s only around when we are winning. So jump ship when we are down, you weren’t a true fan anyway.

He didn't say he was going to stop supporting the team, he said he was going to stop spending money to support them. Two different things. Free market at work: actually using your money to speak for you.

Look, the only way the AD responds to pressure is through economic pressure. Yes the tickets now have been bought, but the #EmptyNeyland movement is a one time thing to show the AD what is coming if they continue with the status quo. Look, it's far from my first choice, but I support it. Drastic times call for drastic measures.

Also, this nonsense bs about what recruits think? Recruits want 2 things: 1. to win, 2. to go to the NFL. The reason our recruiting is down is because we don't win. Butch will hurt recruiting way more than 1 game where a stadium is empty.

The information contained in that false report was leaked weeks ago. This all occurred before the #emptyneyland movement.

I will take a coloring book if you have one though. I need some stress relief.

Currie is going through his "investigation" to what he already knew about the player safety issue today.

Will announce either a suspension until investigation is complete of Butch Jones by tomorrow mid-day. This give Currie his "out" and
Currie saves face and gets the fans back in Neyland this weekend

I'm sure that's why VFL coordinator resigned today. Get out now before this hammer falls about lack of player safety.

If these things don't happen I'll be
1. Shocked
2. Very concerned about the future leadership of Tennessee

Is such an embarrassment to the fan base.

Movements are only concerned with the movement.

Fans are concerned with the program.
