I'm wondering if something happens today with butch. That Currie statement was interesting. All he did was state policy and expectations. He didn't say anything about the staff meeting and following that protocol..... this could be his lead in to firing with cause.

I could be reading too much into it but I found it odd he didn't specifically state that this is our policy and it was followed. He only said this is our policy

Frost is now even money to be florida’s next coach per oddshark. I think this is in our favor. If Florida had gotten Mullen then we would have had to compete with Nebraska to get frost.

How about we shoot higher? We’re forewarned about his suctitude.

We tend to aim high and miss low. Like I said, he's down the list, but we've had serious discussions about Mike freaking Bobo on this board.

I would be OK with Koetter. He's like an outfield single.

The line moving doesn't really mean anything in these props.

Currie releasing a statement leads me to believe there's something to the report about the concussion. He doesn't talk unless forced to.

I just find it odd he released a statement on rumors

Right but I think Frost going to Florida is in our best interest if it means that Mullen falls into our laps. I think with our resources he would take us back to where we expect to be

In order to believe Butch is at fault you have to believe that trainers, team doctors, and SEC officials ALL say on their hands and let a coach over rule them. Simply not reasonable.
Coaches have been "hiding" players from trainers for years.

Having said that, Im not saying that is what happened here. Given the climate of head injuries today, its hard to believe that a coach would play a guy knowing it was possible without him being checked.

If he was having any symptoms during the game and the trainers evaluated and tested him he would have been pulled and I agree Jones could not have forced him to play in that instance.

Good grief... nothing about Frost to Florida is in our best interest

A sharknado over Neyland Stadium in game days is in our best interest more than Frost to Florida

Its a curious situation for someone that doesn't jump every time something controversial comes out. Absolutely.

He's widely regarded as the 2nd best coach in the SEC by many in the sports industry. Would love to have him here.

The only problem is that his offense always gets shut out by Saban defenses, and then Smart's defense this season. Could be lack of talent, or very possible that Saban and Smart have Mullen's scheme figured out.

Speaking of Rich Rod... He checks a lot of boxes for Tennessee. Experienced and successful at the P5 level (4 Big East titles, 1 Pac 12 South title - 3 BCS/NY6 bowls, even an NAIA Natty). Dynamic offense (currently 6th in the NCAA in total O, 3rd in the NCAA in scoring O). Good recruiter. No real NCAA baggage (only minor stuff at Michigan).

Everyone will point to his tenure at Michigan, but remember, he improved their record in year 2 over year 1 and year 3 over year 2. Then Brady Hoke won 11 games with his players in his first year (before Hoke declined the program all the way to 5 wins in his year 4).

Rich Rod took Arizona to the Fiesta Bowl, and to only their 3rd double digit winning season in program history.

He's only 54. Base salary at Arizona is only $2.2M.

I'm not really a Mullen truther but talent would be my guess.

Mix together CBJ's stubborn, controlling personality, the boosters' sense of entitlement and self-importance, DiPietro's hands-off attitude toward athletics and Currie's lone-wolf arrogance and what do you get? We're seeing it.

UT's tendency to be conservative, risk-averse and indecisive is the cherry on top.

It’s in our best interest if it means we get Mullen. In that case both parties win. However, I would feel much more confident with Mullen. That guy has been in the SEC for years and shown he has what it takes to win.
