I've seen a comment like this about almost every radio guy in Knoxville at some point this week. Just curious, who does everyone actually like to listen to/trust?

I rotate pretty evenly with the different shows, probably listen to "The Drive" with Russell Smith more than anything just because I find them entertaining.

Hubbs and Hyams are the most reliable IMO.

I like Dubsy Smith as well but don't catch the show much. Takes a fan perspective like Tony B which is entertaining.

I am a big believe in the NFL experience being worth a lot. So many NFL head coaches turned out to be very different in the their second stint as head coaches both in college and in the NFL

It is really pointless to try to understand what is happening in the UTAD and football program at this time. Which is what they want. They must have some dubious reasoning behind it.

They should just announce Butch will not return next season. Those words, "will not return" bring finality. Then let him coach on a game by game basis. It becomes his try out for another program somewhere. It also leaves it open for the team to either respond by playing their guts out or laying down. If the later, they can go ahead and let him go at any point and the new coach will see who has the guts and character to fight through the adversity on the existing roster. If the former they can win out and go to a bowl game, which is a reward for the players and 15 additional practices for the young guys.

The entire sports world, roster, recruits, and coaching staff already know he is being terminated. Pretending nothing is going on is making fools and liars out of everybody involved.

The Falcons got so much better on offense after Koetter left.

I'd take Koetter. Not my first choice, but we're likely to do a lot worse.

Just a reminder of how incredible it is that Chip Kelly is not coaching, we have an offense built for Chip Kelly’s type of play calling, we are about to fire and hire a coach, and not a single Chip Kelly will be contacted most likely

He’s sucked as a head coach in the NFL, also. Poor man’s Mike Sherman.

Whether we like it or not, the NCAA compliance and APR scores are important. He has done a great job with those. That, by no means, should mean he should stay as coach as he clearly has not won enough and we are currently pretty terrible. Our new coach will have to have some awareness of these attributes or we will be in trouble.
