The boosters have quite literally thought of everything. This is why they are billionaires today.
morning....On my first cup of java after painfully catching up from the night crew but I'm sure it all boiled down to having a Grude Awakening !

I did. Then I woke up at 1:30 unable to sleep because of this stupid thread. So I got up for an hour to catch up before going back to bed.

Good catch!

I be like this \/ this morning after staying up reading the hilarity of Grude_Awakening's interactions and finding out VC doesn't have anything to do with Vietnam...

Relevancy by association.

Yep. The one thing that was difficult to understand previously now makes a lot of sense in many area's. It is not far fetched or even low in probability, it actually is the one thing that makes more sense now more than ever.

This, if true, is very creative and quite the "carrot".

Google “Castor Ventures”. See if that helps you believe. Hint: read the bottom of the page in the dark area. See if that helps convince you of the truck being brought on this board.

There is definitely some interesting wording in the dark area, any one person come to mind? lol

Grude morning Grudenville!

I look forward to GV's synopsis as I spent most of last night with a very cute cleopatra and moana.

Stay strong.

Gets the AA actually fighting for the deal.

Very possibly. But the Beav didn't actually mention that the vc was providing funding, just research opportunities. Entirely possible that he just left that part out though.

On phone so too hard to go back & look, but I think Bubba first mentioned Silicon Valley VC in parentheses relative to $. I remember it jumped off the page to me. So I think it may be both.

Bubba was the first to mention the vc. Within his first few posts.

Quick question-
I understand the multiple ways the VC can help the university.
My question is why do they want to help and what made them want to help now.
I’m sure it’s financial for them, but what is their angle. What do they gain from helping us?

Ps- Grude morning all!

Whoosh. Swain bringing up the Kendrick thing. Looks like this is true, guys. They have video of him wobbling, not knowing the ball was snapped. He was barely standing up at some points. They only took him out in the last seconds of the 4th qtr because he threw up on the sidelines.

I feel bad for him and his family. He’s a senior and probably didn’t want this out there.

I don’t know how Butch didn’t know at half time that he was hurt.

If I'm guessing, a new contributor worth billions.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this might be the reason for the supposed verbal altercation between Jones and Currie yesterday.

I've been listening to Mike and Mike on ESPN radio on my morning commute for years. As long as I can remember, they've had Gruden on EVERY Wednesday at 7:00 during football season via phone. Today, he wasn't on. They didn't offer any explanation of his absence, didn't say the name "Gruden"...NOTHING. This is very odd, as normally when one of their regular segments is missing or even rescheduled, they mention it SEVERAL times.

I would like to think Currie is now under an enormous amount of pressure to fire Jones. Regardless of any other situations....

Beave has turned this into problem solving equations, CSI Knoxville, and everything in between. I'm not smart enough for this.

I don't usually believe in the "signs" but I believe in this one.

I have to keep reminding myself when I read this thread that not everyone believes what I believe (I think all parties are in favor, but could chg with the flip of a switch as someone said yesterday). Having said that I'm more interested in the timing aspect. I think whoever posted that it was originally supposed to be after this season is probably right. I'm curious what happened Sunday evening because on one hand I think maybe they wanted to wait on vote to restructure, yesterday I thought the Kendrick situation could've made Currie suddenly put the brakes on, & I think some think it was Haslam. I know I'm a salmon swimming upstream, but I'm not convinced Big Jim Haslam is a bad guy in this.
The Kendrick reason makes the most sense to me, BUT doesn't seem logical that CBJ would do that if he had already agreed to a buyout.
