A good friends is a realtor in Knoxville and my cousin is a jr at UT. 1st time they've told me anything without me harassing them for info.

I responded to DuckRiver post on this with some questions that came to mind.

To your question, I've been involved in outsourcing deals and these deals/decisions have a long life cycle. I don't know how the university handled the analysis or what their timeline was or who on the $$ side may have stood to gain. That being said, certain factions involved with the hire Gruden camp would most likely have known and could have used that information to mitigate any KH applications. JMO.

Are there any measurable gains from keeping it in-house if a splash-hire is made?

Edit: Don't live in, TN, so not up on your politics. But suspect political dynamics may have been a driver, especially if state reps have been against it.

Yeah you can't talk to some of these folks.. I was not speculating either.. It is absolutely fact and the truth is that Senior Haslam is not the only one who has now twice offered to do whatever is necessary..

I’m still 30 pages behind as I had to actually get some work done today. I have tabs open on my iPad for all the relevant people I feel the need to follow as a quick update. I could have sworn it was vol445 that said that yet I don’t see it in his post history any longer.

Maybe I was wrong on it being him but I was perplexed by that statement. I’m still not quite sure what that meant. The obvious to me thought he Bush family may have helped out but I’m grasping.

JMO here. But if evidence came out that Kendrick did in fact have a concussion and Butch new it and played him anyway? Then Currie absolutely HAS to fire him and any other coach that knew immediately.

UT... Also used Haslam's jet to try to get Strong to come after Gruden took a pass.

I don't think Haslam is the problem.

It's always been the AA.

Just hope Davenport is not the same as Cheeks.
