I believe it's because he tweeted out something about flying a plane with a message on the back in front of 100,00+ vols fans to put more pressure on someone.

Which is a direct contradiction to what he was saying before that the Gruden deal was 100% done.

There'd be no need to put pressure on someone if the deal is done, as he was claiming about a week ago.

Some have suggested the "done deal" means an offer that is too good to decline is on the table awaiting UT administration's acceptance.

Emptying Neyland doesn’t accomplish much. Tickets have already been paid for. At this point you should support the players. Butch is gone. I’d take a bet with anyone who thinks otherwise!

I think Matt Campbell would be a home run. And it isn’t just about this year. He was good before he got to Iowa State.

Patterson or Peterson would be grand slams. But I don’t see them being in play.

Mullen, Strong, Frostalso would be upgrades. Venables intrigues me...seems to have a similar path as Smart.

I’m probably forgetting a few others.

Love this list and would add Frost if we can sway him from going to the Huskers.

I'm not saying MIT is not a troll. But this is not accurate.

Whatever he is, he's really good at it. And until our new HC is announced publicly, no one will know what or who he is.

I was hoping for Gruden as much as anyone else. But could not understand people following him as the Messiah. I stand by my previous posts about the guy. It was also hilarious that some guy on here was "compiling a list" of those being negative toward "beaver". Kinda like Nixon and his "enemies list". I still hope for Gruden.

I was being subtle trying to point out the inconsistencies but now I am sure I am on "the list".

I think the point is that, this isn't about wanting butch gone, it's about wanting the administration to take an honest effort into the football program.

I understand all of that- I really do- and I appreciate the response. I'm just starting to wonder if an equally plausible scenario would be that JG has told us no, and that we're stuck for now bc there are no other coaches avail until the season ends (along the lines of what LWS has said). I still have some hope for JG. I still think the AD radio silence is a little weird. My rollercoaster is just having some trouble getting back to the top if you will.

Absolutely a possibility. My gruden expectation is 20%. I think we miss on him but the expectations are raised to a point to where people know we can’t come up short and the school does what we need to do to make it happen with a big hire

You're commentary about your tickets costing more than most posters make in a year. It's sad that you didn't even realize how that would come off.

Did I say most? I didn't mean most. I had one specific person in mind.

I make good money, but I'm not wealthy. I work 60-70 hours a week, more than anyone in my employ. The tickets were sacrificially expensive and I plan on using them. I resent people who have contributed nothing to the university telling me what I should do.

Fact of the matter is, we will not know who the hire is until the press conference. So before we declare posters trolls, just wait and see. I understand everyone has different sources and hears different things.

As a guy who has relied on sources to make a career, your sources are only as good as their information and their access to their information. It is hard to do proper vetting of sources and information via an anonymous message board. So don get worked up and enjoy the ride.

Don’t know what this means, but Randy Sanders will not return to FSU next season. Was reported by FSU 247 on Twitter. Odd timing considering we will probably have a head coach opening soon. I wonder if The Grude has reached out to Sanders to gauge is OC interest, and it has led to this.

Its not just me. Several have had the feeling but want it to be true so badly they choose to believe which is fine. I just hate to see everyone be so sure it is going to happen that anyone else would not get a chance. That is the epitome of unfair.

You may very well be correct. Time will tell. I do think what he might be doing is “unfair” but he’s playing a role to try to make something happen. I respect that you were in the place he’s in now 5 years ago and saw the impacts of that on a lot of fans.

Question for you - if you got burned last time and got a cease and desist, what makes you put stock in the info you have now? As an outside observer, I would think there’s a chance it’s misinfo

Not being quippy or anything at all. A genuine curiosity and would appreciate your thoughts.
