Overall high school Talent in Florida will always be far superior than what TN is putting out and it’s not close.

More competition for that talent at Florida as well with Florida State and Miami going after the same talent.

Tennessee might not be Florida when it comes to producing talent but its about to surpass Louisiana. And I don't think anyone would say that a state that produces more talent than Louisiana is something to sneeze at.

If Tennessee starts producing about 20 4-star players a year like the 2019 class is projected to do them this job becomes as good as the Florida job given the fact there is less competition for those recruits inside the state.

Expectations are higher at Florida.

Pressure is higher here.

Expectations is the pressure. No coaches truly care about the fans and they shouldn’t. Fans make irrational choices and decisions. One big loss and they hate you one big win they love you.

I don't have a problem with people being skeptical, I am too. My problem is with those that say people are stupid for believing it's a possibility. It is absolutely a possibility.

This is where it’s at.

Some go overboard by declaring it’s a done deal.
Some go overboard claiming no chance in hell.

I know for a fact he was extremely interested the last time. He wasn’t comfortable with the oversight and micromanaging involved.

The reality is that it is a possibility. I won’t wager on a percentage but it is possible. We’ll see what happens.

Basilio pumping up Lane Kiffin.

Be better Tony.

I don't see how we could, but if we were to hire that numbnuts again, I won't check out, but I will join the NegaVol club and harp continuously on every one of his perceived screw ups. I think that I will have plenty to harp on, also.

Florida is a better job that Tennessee but it's not by a wide margin. Their facilities aren't as good and they just fired a guy in his third year after he won the east his first two. I could see a lot of coaches, hopefully Frost being one, perhaps choosing Tennessee over Florida.

It depends on if these new coaches see the 2019 and 2020 instate recruiting talent at Tennessee as the new normal. If they do then we're a better job than Florida.

In the 2019 class Tennessee has roughly 20 players rated as composite 4-stars by 247 sports. That's good for 5th most in the country after Florida, Texas, Georgia, and California. Sure that is less talent than Florida but it is more talent than is being produced in Louisiana (a state that has long been considered a recruiting hotbed).

A smart coach like Scott Frost might say there is more than enough instate talent at Tennessee to build a perennial national title contender especially when you consider the fact that there isn't a Florida State or Miami to compete with for those instate recruits.

Tennessee's recruiting landscape is being severely underrated right now.

They are still people and they still live in the community. I promise you that our current coach has felt the fan pressure and scrutiny here. As did Dooley.

Expectations and pressure aren't necessarily the same IMO.

Regardless of who the next coach is, I just hope they hate Bama/Florida/UGA the way we fans do. Make the rivalries meaningful again. I want a coach who's gonna trash talk Bama and run the score up on Florida.

I felt like you could always feel how much Fulmer hated those guys and I thought Kiffin even did a good job of stirring things up (see Alshon Jeffery comments) while he was here.

Trash-talking is pointless. I'd rather have a coach who wins. Nothing is quite as pathetic as someone who trash talks and loses

I have no idea but a number of posters have posted that is why he won't go to Florida.

Possibly. Saw on twitter where she was quoted saying anytime Dan Mullens offense at UF didn't score 30+ she would have to leave Gainesville anytime she wanted to go shopping and go to Orlando

No idea

They don't publicize all those

Do you know for sure?

Don't they typically announce suspensions on Monday or Tuesday? I guess it's possible he could still get suspended or fined, but it does not seem likely at this point.
