Alabama > LSU

Building a $60 million football facility that will be among the best in the conference

Recruiting at Florida is easier than Tennessee

In state talent is still superior in Florida

Florida has legitimate young talent as well

Their AD is light years ahead of the cluster**** that has been UT for the last decade

Overall high school Talent in Florida will always be far superior than what TN is putting out and it’s not close.

I believe he was told that by the same people who posted on VN back in 2012

not picking a fight here... genuine question - so when he said "the timing wasnt right" when asked about that stuff in 2015... and LWS, and JAV, and Hubbs, and all those folks who have confirmed we went after him... you don't believe any of those things? Like.. it's all made up?

They play LSU every year.

Facilities are garbage.

Miami and FSU are in-state competition for recruits.

In-state talent in Tennessee is rising and extremely fast.

Young talent at Tennessee is leaps and bounds better.

The AD just hasn't pulled the plug. Jones is fired and even the recruits know it.

Up until this season we were the only SEC school to not have 2 full size practice fields. We will have 3 next summer.

Answering the public questions was what made AV to reach out and talk privately. But Zit reminds me of my wife she's always right.

I don't have a problem with people being skeptical, I am too. My problem is with those that say people are stupid for believing it's a possibility. It is absolutely a possibility.

I wasn't wrong about it being dirty unless you want to disagree with Gruden

Maybe I was wrong about a fine. Maybe not

Still think it is ridiculous that Gruden might not want to coach in college?

I’m not going down your rabbit hole after not wanting to talk about being wrong about the fine.

Happy Halloween!

From 2012

CBS Sports' Mike Freeman reported Wednesday via Twitter that Gruden may meet with Tennessee later this week, and Knoxville radio host Jimmy Hyams tweeted that a meeting set for today has been canceled but could be rescheduled.

Remember this one?

For a guy who's supposedly happy with his job, ESPN pro football analyst and former NFL coach Jon Gruden's name continues to be at the forefront of Tennessee's coaching search.
Gruden denied Wednesday that he'd been offered an ownership stake in the Cleveland Browns to take the head coaching job at Tennessee. What would one have to do with the other? Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is a UT grad and his brother, Bill, is the governor of Tennessee. Their father, Jim, played on UT's 1951 national championship team and is a major UT donor.

But Gruden denied the report on ESPN's "Mike and Mike in the morning" radio show and Jimmy Haslam issued a statement denying it as well.

Coaching search update: Gruden may meet with UT, Dykes to interview at NC State, according to reports | AL.com

I wouldn't go down that road either after such a dumb Ass post on your part.

As for the fine it looks like I was wrong. Doubt that would be a thing to appeal.

Based on what? They have fired two coaches with better results than ours since butch has arrived. I’m not talking about message board pressure.

I am taking about the wife saying she didn't like the pressure they came from being out in public. So yea the fans are more important in this context

All these anonymous sources are the same boosters posting on message boards. There wasn't a single quote from Gruden.

It's nuts how people believe everything they read from anonymous sources with literally no accountability for their "information."

But do you seriously believe Gruden is going to come out and say “yeah, I really wanted that job at TN...I really would love to be there, but they wouldn’t give me the control I wanted and they wouldn’t give me the money that I needed for my assistants. Therefore, I had to decline the offer.”? You are just as gullible because he didn’t say something, as anyone is for believing anonymous sources.

Disagree strongly. There fan base isn't nearly as passionate as ours.

Agree.

They do not hang on every word and scrutinize every move. I bet they have half the amount of media members we do.

They are new money front runners. They want to show up for top 5 type teams with fun offenses. If teams don't earn their interest they just go on about their lives and quit paying attention to the program.

Much more fan pressure here.

I do agree with Jave - it’s sad that we’re in a place where no one believes “sources” in published journalism anymore. To discount something because you personally don’t know who the source is shows the deterioration in the quality of the American press and the state of journalism.

There's more pressure to win right away at Florida. No doubt about it. They're not used to not winning the east. We would adore the next coach that wins the East here.

Expectations are higher at Florida.

Pressure is higher here.

And that is mainly from the % of the population that cares about the prospective programs. Zero escaping it in Knoxville while I saw a quote saying that Mrs. Mullen went to Jacksonville to get away from it there. That ain't helping here
