He wasn't ever going to do enough at Texas. Could've won a natty and they still would've been ready to move on. He didn't fit Texas at all.
I don't think UF is the better job. Worst facilities in the SEC, clearly no support for a back to back division winning coach. Even some of the UF media have been saying UF is not a good job.
Nope. Hyams says he doesn't want the job. VQ guys have said he didn't want the job last time and we gave him everything he wanted - and they've also hinted he doesn't want it this time around.
Our only confirmed legit messageboard source, LWS, says he turned down the job twice already.
You all are ignoring information that does not fit the positive Grumor narrative.
Gruden told you that?
"Right now, the money is there for him [Gruden], but they aren't as close as he would like for his assistants," one source said. "It could happen as soon as this weekend or go into next week, but he's pretty firm where he is and has already spoken with the guys he wants to be on the staff with him."

Control issues came down to autonomy and pay over staff.

All these anonymous sources are the same boosters posting on message boards. There wasn't a single quote from Gruden.
It's nuts how people believe everything they read from anonymous sources with literally no accountability for their "information."
Yeah our boosters aren't like Texas. Texas wasn't going to allow Charlie to succeed after he wasn't their type of press conference guy. He beat Oklahoma there. Had he beat Bama here we wouldn't ask for him to be fired at all.
Im with you on your overall thought process man. Its very clear that booster powers are applying public pressure to get the admin to do what they want.
I dont think MIT or Bubba are trolls. Its clear theyre a part of the agenda. I think that agenda is Gruden plan A and has about a 20% chance of happening. Plan B is 75% likely. Plan B is we hire a stud and get back to being serious about football. The public pressure being applied may not land Gruden, but it forces the hand of the admin to get serious.
The other 5% is we do what weve been doing. But I think thats about to change.
I dont understand why people get so bend out of shape about the people that share info here. Believe it or dont believe it. Or hope for it but remain skeptical. Its funny that people drag Boro and DTO thru the mud but dont give SBV any flak. They all shared what they thought was real (and was real according to the people telling them).
Its a fun ride man. I have hope well get us a real winner. Whether is gruden or frost or Mullen or whoever... good days are ahead and soon this thread will once again be about the studs were pulling on the recruiting trail and how were gonna beat the Ish out of bama once weve reset.
