And you have proof that I know this? Thats sounds more like your opinion. Its people like you that question every bit of information that is brought here by anyone else. Be it Boro, MIT, DTO,etc.... you hang on every word, take it apart, look for anything you can find to discredit it in any way shape form or fashion.

Therefore I question you and the others that come here only to tear apart statements to look for fault. The people commenting here only want the best for Tennessee. Yes there are a lot of people bringing information here that DO have contacts with the BOT, AD and other sources. There is more going on behind the scenes that you or I even know.

You are a fine example of Burger King people, You want it fast and you want it your way.

And have a nice day! I am.

Sunday afternoon/night i finally got it ... that this situation is fluid, ever changing.

what's true right now, at this exact moment, may not be true 5 minutes from now.

that makes it hard to go all in and believe what "insiders" tell us, and it makes it hard when what they told us doesn't pan out. it doesn't mean they were trolling.

this situation has more moving parts than a car.
i believe that, as long as all parts hold together, we'll arrive at the destination we're all hoping for.... Grudenville, TN.

if at any point, something flies apart, then the whole deal does.

the sooner people learn and understand the fluidity of this situation, the better they will cope with the "insiders."

Thinking nothing big comes from the BOT meeting. Whatever deal does or doesn’t exist likely is put together in different ways

Well said!

I actually think the opposite.
I think Currie is playing this like a boss, and some of us, are going to look foolish in the near future.
May be me, and may be you Volgr!

I'm right regardless of the coaching outcome. He has publicly mishandled the last 3 weeks and that has nothing to do with what he may or may not be doing behind the scenes.

From what I understand Currie doesn't feed the BOTs approval.

I think someone said the Scarrabeans have a meeting this week.

Maybe that's the meeting everyone is referring to?

I'm certainly no damsel in distress.

However, in text tone must be inferred based on wording and punctuation. The true sign of a gentleman is to instinctively stand up for any woman he sees being attacked. Conversely, the most sure sign that someone is not a gentleman is if he attacks a woman.

100% truth right here.

The big question: Is he holding Aces or a Six high? Only time will tell.

Right now he is holding onto Butch Jones...so he is holding 6 high and showing everyone his hand. My only hope is that he set the deck and knows what the flop is.

I'd counter your observation with a question for you. Do you know when we started the "process"?

It may be a long one, but in order to judge where we are in the "process" you have to know when we started... It's reasonable to believe we started the process long ago.

Yes ... I was told last Christmas from a reliable usually tight lipped University source that "they were not sure Butch is the man to take us to a championship level". It's been in the works prior to Currie being hired even.

Yesterday on 99.1 on the cross over to Erik Ainge. He said a few things which I have been thinking about. He said the following things in a casual manner. I will paraphrase:
- Ainge is friends with a few big donors.
- Currie is asking these donors for more money then usual.
- The donors are reluctant to pay more than usual without the team showing a reason to.
- The donors will donate the normal amount, but they are hesitant to do more than that.
- The donors are not going anywhere. As in leaving.

With all of this said, do you guys think that maybe the deal with Gruden is all said and done but hinges upon Currie being able to persuade the donors for the money?

They need to post Ainges picture up around campus that says banned. He is an idiot. He is just like Butch , he always thinks he is the smartest clown in the room.

Well, one major thing is that it took him this long to address anything else besides our tennis program. And when he does come out and say something , he sounds oblivious. And yes, vague.

Exactly. There’s something going on we don’t know about. Look at Florida. They release a statement of support, then say their looking into it, then they fire him. Ad comes out and says they will look for a great candidate yada, yada, yada... typical AD stuff... look at our situation.
No one has said anything. Of any substance. Currie hasn’t said a word (he said a lot but didn’t say anything). I don’t know what’s going on but it’s something.

I mean no disrespect and I look for your posts along with several others to give me hope, but you can't say that what you posted wasn't meant to get us excited. I read it the same way he did and probably everyone else on this board. You know it too whether you want to admit it or not. Again I appreciate seeing you post, but you're wrong on this one. :hi:

Some might say the ones who "hang on your every word" are the ones who brow beat the ones who point out inconsistencies.

I know you're a former player and usually bring good info, but you trolled on this particular incident. You don't have to own it if you don't want to, but it doesn't take any dissecting of your words to point this one out.

Own it or keep trashing me, idgaf

Let the grude times roll

There are a lot of moving parts that is for sure. To use an analogy of a car being put together, you must start with a frame and then add all the details until it hits the end result.

Doyle's Grudometer is at 20%.

I'm still holding onto a little hope simply because I cannot believe that our AD is as stupid and inept as he appears to be right now. There has to be some sort of method to his apparent madness.
Right?
Please tell me I'm right.

No one has said anything. Of any substance. Currie hasn’t said a word (he said a lot but didn’t say anything). No coach has ever survived after losing to Ky until now. I don’t know what’s going on but it’s something.

Dooley lost to ky in 2011 and he came back for 2012.. correct me if I'm wrong..

It's the liquor, Doyle. The liquor made John do it.
