Yesterday on 99.1 on the cross over to Erik Ainge. He said a few things which I have been thinking about. He said the following things in a casual manner. I will paraphrase:
- Ainge is friends with a few big donors.
- Currie is asking these donors for more money then usual.
- The donors are reluctant to pay more than usual without the team showing a reason to.
- The donors will donate the normal amount, but they are hesitant to do more than that.
- The donors are not going anywhere. As in leaving.
With all of this said, do you guys think that maybe the deal with Gruden is all said and done but hinges upon Currie being able to persuade the donors for the money?
Yea? How do you know this for a fact? You seem to be speaking with with some authority. Feels like a **** storm to me...
Oh what a surprise the wagons are circling because someone dares to ask her a question...
Just information I will jump right in when he is named head coach. He would definitely be the best hire in a decade and NFL experience is the best you can get.Have you witnessed Tenn football the last 10 years? Our relevance in college football is about on par with Vandy.
Gruden would be the most exciting thing to happen to Tenn since we won our NC.
fellow grudenites ... i have a question ... who is this guy, kid deezy?
i skipped most of the game of thrones night shift, but noticed him being ... not so nice ... am i just misreading him?
you know i need to know.
There are obvious signs that Butch was fired weeks ago, some might even argue that he fired himself at the end of last season. If you believe that, then you must believe that Currie has a plan. There aren't two ways about it. Again, he is either incompetent or a benevolent evil genius. Pick one and every other thought you have about this should be built from there.
IMO, the hits our brand is getting from the outside world are no worse than the hits that came from the "Champions of Life", or the Team 121 Trash Can, or "Leadership Reps".
It's really bad on the inside (fans), but that can be fixed instantly if they make the right hire.
Outward perception is no worse than it's been since last year, again IMO.
The Grude News, morning edition. For those just tuning in.

Bad cliches are great to laugh at... but losing to USC, Kentucky, and Vandy is no laughing matter.
Don't believe anything is being held up on the donor side.
Wasn't too active last night so don't know how you got that impression. I asked a simple question to her and a select few are up in arms that I asked a question. What's funny to me is she didn't seem to be upset at all and did a pretty good job of answering my question as seen below.
Thanks, I'm not on her all the time so wasn't sure if you were hearing something I wasn't aware of.
