If you consider winning 54% successful, then it would seem you would be happy with Butch.

You really don't believe what you are saying do you?

Remember Kiffy? Yep he sucked in the NFL but everyone knows he's a great college OC and probably a good HC long term once he stops being a Jackass! Gruden will be a great college coach if he wants to be. Have you ever watched him on his QB show? Dude is all about making kids great!

College is not the NFL. He is a successful, Super Bowl winning coach! Andy Reid has not won a Super Bowl and he's now #10 all time in the NFL.

Please wake the hell up!

They're not gonna take that big a hit, and Currie knows it. It's homecoming weekend. Lots of alumni have already planned in advance, and will have their family and friends there. The stadium will be mostly full.

Most likely the same for LSU and Vandy since they are conference games against, one against a top 25 team and the other against a rival. If they were scrub teams, it might be a concern.

You're a bit out of touch if you think the Vandy game is a safe draw in a year that we're very likely to lose to them. I also disagree with your assessment of homecoming, this is arguably the worst beating we've ever taken in the modern era heading into the game, so there isn't much to go off of, but last time we had a nearly-fired head coach, HC attendance was 84,000. No social media movement, no overwhelming public pressure to fire Dooley immediately, only losses at that point were to ranked teams.

There's no chance we break 80,000, and I think it's far more likely attendance will be below 60,000.

A few days ago someone mentioned a meeting on Tuesday. Don't remember who and I discounted it because I thought maybe they just had the day wrong. And Tuesday has been deemed important in past posts.

IMO I think in a way Currie is taking a figurative bullet for the university. Hear me out, I think the university is following a process(like the Beave has said) to bring Gruden here. If Currie dumped Butch then all this media that’s focused on him being “indecisive” would move to focus on “who are we getting”. I think they need more time to work out some details and get this thing done without tons of prying eyes. Curries no fool, he knows Butch is done and he knows this fan base is disgusted. They’ll get this one right. Gruden will bring thru the T next year.

Seriously though..there is a huge game of thrones thread in the movies and music forum. It is dead now but in season there are a lot of good discussions. Check it out, I don't think I've ever seen you in there.

I keep my GoT stuff on the reddit/freefolk forum... but while im getting my grude on and people talk GoT...thats just double the pleasure.

For all of those citing how much money would be lost if the stadium was only half full, keep in mind that a substantial number of those seats are season tickets which have already been paid for so that money would not be lost. I doubt much more than 20K seats are left to sell after season tickets and students so the losses are probably not as high as you are indicating. There would be some loss in concessions, but again not that great. The worst thing is that it would look bad on TV and may cause recruits to bail, which would hurt the team in the long run no matter who is coaching. At this point I don't think Butch is likely to get us championship and we may be better off with a new coach, but I don't like the possible harm to recruiting that may result from fan no-shows.
