Official Jon Gruden Thread XXV

The way I perceive this is that in KH one side can agree to a value loss so long as another party who is improved by the change contributes to improve on the value reduced party.

In concrete terms: (pure hypothetical) If the Gruden side (boosters) needs to change the school schedule in order to satisfy some demand, then the academic side lose value (an inefficiency). However, if Peyton could come in and offer enough value (somehow) then the academic side may absorb the value loss from schedule change in order to improve their position in net value (a new lab, books, equipment, etc.).

The wiki bit about something not happening is ultimately a stretch here. That equivalent in the above hypothetical would be Peyton's non-performance of an agreed upon duty.

Could the value to the side that took the hit, in this case the academic side, come in the form of say research money from an outside source?

Ok so quick question I read somewhere that none of the other coaches wants to be the interim head coach

So why would none of them want to do that? Too loyal to Butch or is it something else?

Yes...BDubs screwed the pooch whem they added servers! I remember the beer taps at the bar were automatic. Bartender just pushed a button and it poured. Way ahead of its time!

Awww... Long time lurker (and finally registered) and I am using my first post to say I was one of the first servers at BW3... :cray:

We would go to Animal Hour at Hawkeye's on Thursday nights then to Beer Bust at Quarters. 5 bucks all you can drink of the worst beer ever.

I enjoy reliving the glory days of the 90s. (93-97, Husband 92-96) We'll be back there soon.

The Gruden threads are the only ones I read, y'all are fascinating people. I am all in.

I hear ya and been going to the hill since 1983 but I can't take it anymore. A game takes up my entire weekend and UT ain't getting another penny from my family until we get the real deal coach that the player's and fans deserve.

Be watching the games at home until further notice.

Thought I'd never say it but... I'd take Kiffen back at this point :cray:

Butch has made his own bed and will sleep in it. He's done. Not as soon as we'd like, but he's done. I will support my VOLS and hope for Gruden.

Btw. Just me, but I'd rather keep Butch than have that sleazy Kiffen anywhere near our campus.

Ok I'm not an insider just passing along a text I got.

"So I had dinner with one of the university's biggest boosters two Saturdays ago. At dinner we discussed the dumpster fire that is Tn football. This gentleman said he and Mr. Haslam had a meeting with the AD and agreed that money shouldn't be the caveat to keep us from getting the coach we need. They agreed on a budget upwards of 10 mil. The current offer is 7.5 mil. Normally I don't buy into this but a local high school coach that Gruden roomed with in college received a call from him asking if he would be interested in a position as the high school liaison. Looks pretty good"

He said this info came out as the line moved to 2-1

Was the dinner at the Dixie Stampede after a long day at Dollywood?

If someone took a dump in the pool would you volunteer to pick it up?
