I posted this early on with Richmond: I went to school with a guy who coaches a high level high school football here in Memphis. His team scrimmaged Richmond and MUS in his senior year. He told me then that Richmond had a lot of raw talent but thought he was better suited as a guard. I am beginning to think he was right on the money. May also have to do with attitude.

I don't think he has the feet to be a tackle. Not sure he has the toughness to be a guard.

All that combined with lack of development from the staff

Does anyone actually think Butch is being retained after this year? He's a dead man walking.

He may be. However, a lot of people thought losing to Kentucky would be the nail in the coffin (should've been). I just am not sure they are going to do it. My mind tells me that you're right but I've seen nothing that makes me believe it 100 percent.

It is absurd. And embarrassing. Again, the 2% fringe of this fanbase making us look bad.

Kress army strikes again.

To be clear..I want Botch gone a month ago, but I am not on board the emptyneyland train with bass. Start a fahr butch chant, or wear a paper bag with a sad face and fire butch on it, but support the players. However I can not go on forever supporting a program that doesn't care about us or winning..Currie better knock this ish outta the park.

#emptyneyland is embarrassing.

Reminds me of the planned student walkout a few weeks ago. Except this millennial temper tantrum that never had a chance of actually happening made it to a national sports show.

Having the worst loss in Neylands history is embarrassing. Struggling to beat Umass is embarrassing. Losing to USCe at home is embarrassing. Not scoring a TD in over a month/15 quarters of football is embarrassing. Losing to Florida and then them firing a coach with back to back SEC championship games while our AD does nothing is embarrassing.

Not showing up to a possible embarrassing loss to S Miss when it’s going to bad weather is not embarrassing.

Couldn't have brought him back without an extension.

Cheaper to fire him than to keep him. He has been fired for a few weeks. It's been over.

I know this has been discussed until it’s nauseating.

Dr Jerry Punch just stated he knows for a fact Gruden is not interested in coaching any college team and will not be a coach at UT. He was certain he would not be our coach or any collegiate coach.

I don’t see any #smokescreen coming from Doc Punch.

He isn’t coming.

I don't. IMO, he was gone after USCe.

People said that after Dooley, too, and no one will ever know.

We fired Fulmer, a national championship winning coach, a year after winning the east and we have fans that believe that Dooley was going to get a 4th year and CBJ is going to get a 6th.

It's nuts.

He has been gone since the UGA embarrassment. The "Currie wants to bring him back" talk is just misdirection while they wait to fire him later in the season.

Even if you believe UT makes decisions simply based on money it has now reached the point that it is fiscally smart to fire CBJ. He has to be extended this offseason or he has to be fired. It is actually cheaper to fire him.

I don't think he is either, but I wouldn't expect Dr. Punch to know one way or another.

He's really not. Wish people would get off that. Let's put our energy in a potential Mullen/Frost hire lol
