Based on 247's article they say that Jones, barring any unforseen circumstances, will coach against Southern Miss. They say his future beyond that is unknown.

I would like to think that we have our white whale, and just so happens we play Southern Miss game after the November 3rd date that keeps floating around. Then, on Monday night football gruden tears open his suit to reveal that beautiful Orange we've grown to fall in love With! #soon

It says the decision has been made and only the timing is left, after that. So much contradicting in those two paragraphs, makes me think the writer is a VN insider.

John Gruden appears like a mastermind of football because his only job is watching, analyzing, and commenting on football. Literally, that's all he gets paid to do. When you are a head coach you have to 1. Recruit 2. Deal with media 3. Manage your staff 4. COACH 5. Deal with administration 6. Mentor these young athletes. 6. And a bunch of other stuff

John Gruden is the "shiny" new thing in folks minds. Magical thinking . Let's hire this guy because all these things will fall in place just because of his persona.

High risk hire. He doesn't need the money. He hasn't coached college in decades. Fired from last coaching job as he didn't develop talent. Had strained relationships with players. Will this guy actually be hungry to do the work it takes? 70-80 hour weeks.

A lot of these jerks don't realize what a fun place this would be if they just dropped their bias off at the door.

But they bring their FF or PF mindset into here and it just ruins it for them.
