Guys i havent been around long enough to remember, but was the Gruden threads and Grumors ever this certain in 2012 or 2008? I feel like we are reeling in the big fish this time. Im really sipping the Gru-laid.

That's what is irritating. They used to, but they don't today. Tennessee is one of very few athletic depts in the country that has historically given back to the academic side. There were lean years where bailing out had to happen, but with the right hire this go around they could really set things back up like they used to be and then some!

I seem to recall when the library was completed there were a lot of empty shelves because they had no money to buy books. In steps the Athletic Department with a donation to help them out. A successful athletics program absolutely has a positive impact on the University as a whole.

I read it is the perception is that Florida got a head start on the coach search, and that isn’t reality. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean Gruden but does seem to indicate that UT has started the search already.

The article about the gruden offer was dropping an ace on the table. It was a call on the utad bluff.

With the gruden numbers leaking out they are saying fine if you wont take our guy at 10mil then enjoy finding a benchwarmer for that because now that they know what we will pay they wont accept less.
