Exactly! He previously stated that the deal was signed over a week ago, and people threw their panties at him. Now he's been backing off the last several days with comments including words like, "if" and "possible". Whether Gruden becomes coach or not, both of MIT's stances can't be true. Either way, he is spit balling and has given himself an out.

For me it's that I have to read the whole sentence.

UT can’t afford what happens if they reject the Gruden deal. They like to build too many new buildings and construction projects to afford to piss off the people who put this thing together

UT can not piss off the money men if they want other projects to be done.

The closest thing you'll see to insiders on here are AV and Deerpark. Larry kinda...but I think his connections are cold.

Anybody else, don't put stock in anything they say.

Anyone else think it would be a safe bet to wager that Florida formally announces the hiring of their next head coach before Tennessee formally announces the firing of Jones?

Gruden accepted what he is talking about...done deal. Although there is no deal to be signed yet. Until there is there will be pushback because some people don't like giving up power.

My source says we’re not going to nothing, but sit back and get systematically butt rammed like we’ve been doing for the past ten years.
All these boosters with billions of dollars sitting back, and doing nothing.
The fans spending thousands dollars of year to watch this garbage, and all they have to do is raise the price of a coffee five cents at all the Pilot stores to cover the buyout..
Butch needs to go now.
This fanbase deserves it.

Let's say I agree... then what is the hold-up in announcing Butch fired and Gruden hired.... That is the part that has this board volatile ..... Not the BAD loss

Exactly, 2012 should have taught some lessons. Several "insiders" spitting BS and folks ate it up. Some on these "insiders" were still advising folks to ignore reports that CBJ had been hired. Some were expecting Gruden to pull off the Butch mask at the podium when he was announced.
