Good Morning,

I'm no insider but a real good childhood friend of mine who I grew up with in Chattanooga and he presently works for 247sports reporting the recruiting stuff told me and another VOL friend last night. He is also a huge Bama fan as well and has many contacts with the 247sports insiders mainly in recruiting. Here is what he said below.

"From what he was told by someone with knowledge is it's a done deal with Gruden and Trevor Lawrence (#1 player in nation and a QB) will decommit from Clemson and come to Knoxville.. You'll be shocked to see who his offensive coordinator will be. May not be popular but he's the best offensive mind in the game probably. Just has some baggage and unpopularity that will ensue. (He was formerly Baylor HC) Good times ahead for you. Those UT vs Bama games will be epic matchups again very soon. That is true. Haslam and Thunder came through. Money will not be a problem. They'll buy out sorry $%^ Butch and pay Gruden 8 million. This should have been done 5 years ago."

If he isn't fired this week, then I tip my cap to Basilio and say he is right. Currie is incompetent, has no plan and it's a dumpster fire.

This... there are some that didn't have a date, but many of the insiders have said this is the week. If it doesn't happen everyone will have to step back and see what they believe.

If it is a "DONE DEAL" there should be ZERO need to put pressure on the administration and why would the Boosters still be doing everything that can... once I have a job DONE.. I stop working on it and go to the next ....... this post confuses me more than the others

Lol. Not in the mood for this ****. It doesn't even make sense. The mainstream media doesn't have anything to corroborate any of the Gruden stuff, but a HS kid knows and is ready to decommit? Doesn't make any sense. And Art Briles isn't coming here either. Gruden knows too many offensive minded coaches to pick that one.
