Unless he knows he will have to help hold it all together until the new headman arrives. I would think it a wise move to draw closer to the players if you knew change was coming. Just my opinion.

The fact that Peyton does gives hope

Like I said a week ago, if it is true that Peyton is working on this then it has a very good chance of happening. Peyton isn't wasting his time on a fools errand, nor would it help his future NFL GM aspirations.
