Should receivers be running routes to the yard line necessary? Surely no one believes they are being coached to run routes short of the marker by a yard or so.

This offense has always run short routes on 3rd down.

most of us (me included) were very impressed with the off season coaching hires. Scott wound up being no bueno but at the time it seemed logical.

Logical Hiring Scott at TE or promoting Scott to OC? Hiring him to TE yes, promoting at TE coach who's never been a OC, much less an OC in a power 5 conference to call plays was "no bueno" out of the gate... I still don't know how anyone thought that was going to work..

Yep. I agree with Currie in this case. No reason to waive that clause. If Butch wants to add more humiliating losses to his resume and kill his already declining stock for future jobs more then so be it.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I will go on record as saying it will be a true shame. I hate that we have gotten this bad, but I still maintain there's no way that Butch is here next year, regardless of the outcome of the next five (or six, with a miracle) games.

I don't think Gruden will be on the list but he has to be one of the highest paid guy's there. They can very easily get someone cheaper to do that job.
