So that goes for opium poppy product, psilocybin, DMT, Khat and Coca leaves too I guess?

I'm no pothead, but I do have a tremendous reverence for the Creator's work and provision. Pretty sure that any 'medicinal' effects of those plants only become truly destructive with copious amounts of post processing. Basically the same with fermentation: The Creator gave us wine naturally, humans post process to get liquor.

Edit: Sorry...should have left this alone.

Re-focusing on this weekend's game, I expect we will see a lot of Tim Jordan. Kind of looking forward to that. Our skill positions will be extremely young:

QB: rFrosh (JG)
RB: Frosh (TC), Soph (CFA - if he can play), Frosh (TJ)
WR: Soph (Callaway), Soph (Johnson) Sr (Smith), Frosh (Palmer), Soph (Byrd), Sr. (George)

95% of UT players have never played in a game when the game time temperature is supposed to be in the 30s, the leading rusher is suspended and the coach is being fired.

Man, I wish I hadn't brought this up. Now we've got all the hippies talking about "weed is a plant that comes from the ground, if God didn't want it then it wouldn't be around."

Anyone heard any good grumors lately?

Sheeit, you think Gruden don't smoke?

:p

I heard Currie was giving Gruden a tour of Cherokee Country Club and Gruden brought along his personal shaman, which he commonly does when considering important decisions. He likes DMT, as he considers it a natural substance placed here by God, but finds that it's too short-lived, so he had his shaman brew up some Yage for him. After devolving back to the primoridal stew from which life emerged, he attained the goal of his vision quest. While others commonly speak with snakes in this state, Gruden instead spoke with a spider hiding behind 2 Yellow Bananas. The spider told him it was his destiny to coach the Vols to 12 straight national championships, sending Saban to his retirement after his first year here. Currie was thrilled but told him he had to serve a 1 game suspension for the Kentucky game as he does not condone the use of Yage (and also apparently pot). Butch is out after Gruden serves his suspension which is relatively soon.

We are going to overwhelm Kentucky's defense with a heavy dose of three-and-outs. We'll see how they respond to that over the course of a 60 minute ball game.

What's gonna be funny is if both defenses show up and there are about 50 possession changes, and the ToP winner (whoever managed 4 first downs) finally manages to score a field goal late for the win.

How many punters are traveling to Lexington???

I'll have 2 of what he's having, please...

New article from Hyams. (I'm reading it on desktop and posting this from mobile so I can't link it.)

Sounds like he's been talking to Sexton. He says Sexton will not negotiate a buyout because of the mitigation clause in Butch's buyout. Basically, Currie isn't budging on this. He knows Butch wants to coach after Tennessee and doesn't want to pay him a dime more than he has to. Butch isn't going to resign.

Also, Jimmy says it's not a foregone conclusion he's fired even after a loss to Kentucky. They would have to blow us out for Currie to pull the trigger. He also said Tennessee will not keep Butch even with a 4-1 finish. He would have to go 5-0 to even have the discussion but Jimmy doubts Butch wants to stay anyway.

That is by far the most Hyams has said regarding the situation. As recently as this past Sunday's call-in show he still seemed to be in camp CBJ.

So Butch says drop the mitigation clause for a small discount on the buyout, but Currie says no deal, enjoy the end of your miserable career at UT without your starting RB?

here is the link to Hyams blog:

So, WILL Butch Jones actually be fired in the next five weeks?

You will hear a lot of misinformation over the next few days about Jones’ status, but here are the things I believe.

I believe Currie doesn’t want to fire Jones and I believe Jones has to give Currie a reason to keep him.

I believe if Jones wins out, he will be Tennessee’s coach in 2018 – if he wants to stay.

I believe anything short of a 5-0 finish and Jones is gone. You might argue that he could survive at 7-5 if the defeat is a close one to LSU. But I think it’s unlikely.

I believe Tennessee’s ineptness on offense makes it difficult for Tennessee to finish even 4-1.

I believe Tennessee without running back John Kelly – suspended for the Kentucky game for a drug citation – will struggle to score more than 14 points against the Wildcats.

There are a couple of X-factors: Home attendance for the Southern Miss game November 4 and the input from Jimmy Haslam and Peyton Manning.

And I believe this: Currie won’t tweet about tennis this weekend.

Sexton putting out info to enrage the fanbase more and try to force Currie’s hand.

Butch hired Sexton in the offseason, because he knew he was tanking the season (proved by his lackluster coaching hires), and knew Sexton was the man who had the best chance to get his maximum buyout.

It shouldn't enrage anyone. That mitigation clause is going to be there no matter when they fire him. Actually pretty bold by Currie because it sounds like Butch wants to resign if that clause is lifted and Currie isn't having it.

most of us (me included) were very impressed with the off season coaching hires. Scott wound up being no bueno but at the time it seemed logical.

Meant it from the angle of everyone is wondering why Butch isn’t already gone...Sexton stirs it up more by saying it’s because Currie won’t drop the mitigation clause. Many fans could care less, and when reading this, their first reaction is probably “just drop the clause and get rid of him!!!”
