We have settled for so many years....

We no longer except to compete for a SEC championship
We no longer expect to win the SEC East
We now FEAR Bama... (makes me sick to post it)
We only expect to keep a Big game close
We can't score a TD and make excuses
We accept mediocracy as the norm
We refuse to dream BIG

HOWEVER, AS FOR ME.... I will never give up... I WANT A WINNER and someone who not only makes the third Saturday in October mean something again but who makes the nation sit up ad take notice

It's baffling to think that he wanted out last year possibly badly enough to test the waters for other jobs and then he wanted a contract extension here before the season started. He obviously wants guaranteed longevity in his career, but I am not sure what else he wants.

He's better off going back to his other profession and that is being a used car salesman.

People with little to offer need that certainty. If he was going to be in over his head stability needed to be guaranteed, or he needed to seek greener pastures where he could start the clock over.

Personally, I think he truly came to terms with his level of coaching ability last season. He was set up to win big and his absolute best effort didn't even sniff the Georgia Dome.

Well when you can't get another job get more money. And now see where we are at? But he got his raise and extension in 2015 not 2016 right?

I didn't assert that it came out the weekend of the Georgia game for any particular reason, just that it did. This was a designed PR piece from the outset, no matter when it was agreed to. It was designed to either help squelch the noise after the Florida loss, or set the table for a sympathetic departure....but it was a contrived, controlled narrative.

This and last year's expectations were very high. He didn't see what was about to blind side him when he didn't meet those expectations early on.

No news could be good news. Though we were briefly invaded by Mullen fanatics earlier this morning. SFD laid the smackdown and gave the ultimatum "don't make me pull over this hype train just to beat your azz!"

Slice is suspiciously missing. Milk cartons are being printed at this time.

General discussion on Jones getting fired vs resigning after this weekend. But no specific timeline on his departure.

However, DocVol seems to think he's out regardless of the outcome this weekend.

And OldVol stopped by with a "ducks in a row" comment. Even more hope for "SOON!"

And it's C-U-R-R-I-E, not the nasty food curry...

And in other news, Freak's yacht has to be upgraded once again since the weight of the additional "stores" has completely sapped the power on the engines. When asked what size would be needed, the builders were quoted as saying "you know those nuclear reactors on aircraft carriers? Think just a bit bigger."

Which additional speed and power would certainly help with the Hooter Girls Ski Team daily performances. So, it's certainly an optional upgrade being considered.

The rest of your words were great but icing on the cake....that right there is what I am all about and have been wishing for 10 years. I know it's probably hard now of days for coaches and all it takes BUT I hold out hope that Gruden is and wants to be the next Paul Bear fu@#% Bryant !
