Wow that is a nice pad for sure...
I am a luxury broker here in Windermere, FL I am going to reach out to the agent under the guise of having a client here in Lake Butler Sound looking to move up to Knoxville just feel him out about the house, and see if he casually mentions anything to me. What are the odds he would be worried that a luxury broker would be calling about the property for any other reason?
Will report back this afternoon.
As wishful as I am that this happens I cannot see it happening should we win. Only 90% sure it happens with a close hard-fought loss (yes I know its Kentucky). The only way I see it as a foregone conclusion is if we do not compete and get handed our a$$es or lose a close game due to several miscues which both are equally likely imo.
Can anyone name a coach at any D1 school that was on the hot seat and let go after a victory in an away in conference game? I cannot think of one......
It is my gut feeling too this is his last game but I also think we have very little shot at competing with the attitudes and off the field actions of the team, past history (see Umass, South Carolina etc...) and that gut feeling is based on the feeling that we will blow this game on the offensive side of the ball and wind our defense by the half. Would never root against the Vols but at the same time this team has shown nothing that makes me think we will compete at Kentucky at a level to beat the team that beat SCjr in Columbia and we could not beat them at home.
Another difference. We are coming off a 45-7 loss and are dejected and down as a fan base and in my opinion the team is as well. They are coming off a 45-7 loss and are pissed and out for blood, do not have any coaching drama or off the field drama to deal with.
What day of the week does Gruden come on Mike and Mike? Does he still do that? I remember in '12 people would listen to that segment for 'breadcrumbs'. It's also where Gruden formally turned down the UT job before (I assume, after talks broke down). So, it'd be something good to tune into this go around.
If you find out any information, it would be really telling the kind of house. You would have one type of house if you were just moving to be closer to parents (with kids out of the house) vs. a house you would have if you had to host recruits, players, and staff.
How pissed are we all going to be if a week from now we are sitting here with Lyle Allen still the head coach at Tennessee?
I think that's more likely the case then not. Spoke to my ticket rep this morning about an erroneous charge on my c-card. I asked him if he's hearing anything, he said "No, just that he thinks Jones will be with us through the rest of the season." We have to be mindful, we look at it from a "fan" point of view. Currie's standpoint is strictly business doesn't have the luxury of bringing emotion in to it. Who knows...we'll see what happens.

Is someone in the ticket office going to be aware of the goings on behind the scenes?
Or, if they were aware, wouldn't they be sworn to give the same smokescreen-y answers that all the AD sources have been giving?
I think the buyout that was reached last week probably allows him to resign after ky or get fired after ky depending on win or lose.

I fully believe a negotiated lowered buyout has been agreed on which has been widely reported. I just cannot fathom a scenario where they present it as a resignation or termination after a win. Would be unprecedented in NCAA football. But as I said before I would not bet we win this game with anyones money but it would not surprise me. Probably the most even matchup since Umass and SCjr and home field was the reason we were in the SC game and the reason we won the Umass game imo.
