He had Dak Prescott and couldn't win! Always knew Dak was a good QB, but Mullen didn't prove it to anyone. He had to get drafted to prove he was a good QB.

Im sure many of you have read the Gruden thread. I talked to a couple of friends last night concerning business and afterwords talked about our Vols and the coaching situation. I had them bring up this Gruden thread and they just shook their head and smiled. One that was on the team in the past said "wow there are going to be a lot of people disappointed." He said Currie is busting his tail on the HC thing. He said a lot of things are going in in the background and a good hire would be made but it would not be Gruden. Gruden wants a pro job, doesnt want to recruit and all that goes with that. He thinks Mullen is the target. He said Mullen through back channels wants the job. Gruden, Petrino, Stoops, will not be hired. Just my business experience last night.

Just curious where your "friends" are getting information. Currie holds everything close,

I'm still on the Gruden train, but, if some of these insiders are correct and Mullen is the target you won't see me burning mattresses either. With the resources available at Tennessee I feel that he would be successful.

OK! Tell me what Mullen has accomplished as a head coach? If he didn't have Fitzgerald this year, they would be garbage, just like us without Dobbs. Same offense.
