If I recall, you said you hadn't been born before Animal House came out. And said Old School was more of your generation, I deduce you were likely born in the 80s which puts you well shy of that big 4-0 mark.

Hence, un-cougar-ish.

Give it a few years, you can be a dirty old woman like I'm a dirty old man.

You would be correct.

I'll adopt the philosophy of Mr. McConaughey in Dazed and Confused, "That's what I love about these college guys, I get older, they stay the same age".

The Grude News, special morning edition. For those just tuning in.

OX0yQ.gif

Jones is still coach <sigh> Did a press conference with much fanfare...or something.

But no change on the "soon" front. Multiple posters with contacts still believe Gruden to be the one.

However, as expected, a roller coaster of emotions as "news" came out and emotions went into the toilet. However, more "news" and cooler heads prevailed which brought the emotions back up to the top. Probably going to continue that trend.

So, a lot of hope on that end. But nothing's changed.

There is a new(er) possible insider on the board, VFL92. Has some interesting things he's saying.

Apparently, posting .gifs by Boro and Preacher got a little old. They seem to have calmed down a tad on that front. However, lots of folks added to "the list."

Negagrudes and trolls still showing up in the late afternoon/evening hours. It's like clockwork. "Gruden isn't coming here because..." Yeah, guy, haven't heard that reason since, like, yesterday. But you're missing the spirit and intent of the Gruden threads. So kindly, GTFO until you do.

Speaking of showing up. Beaver made a comeback. And started a private Twitter account. Followed closely by Atlanta Vol, who requested help starting his so they could chat. We caught a snippet of their first conversations back and forth on Twitter...

Atlanta Vol: "You think I should lay up with the seven and chip it onto the green?"

Atlanta Vol: "And how do I post a picture on this thing? [pic+\<@vn.org] or something? Preacher? Boro?"

Beaver: "Ivan has a new drink with a double shot of 18 year old Scotch. I think I'll call it the Barely Legal."

Beaver: "Oh, and you're a b!tch if you don't go for it with a five iron."

And thus endeth the Twitter conversation.

And even with as much fun poked at Atlanta, he is a stand up guy for donating tickets to a veteran. Bravo, sir.

Politics reared it's ugly head in the thread last night. There is a Politics Forum. Of which Dad came in and reminded us to knock it off. Try the PF. Lord only knows LG could use the company.

In other news, Freak's yacht was successfully converted with the new liquor hold.

Ape spent the next 27 hours "inspecting" the work.

Let's see what today holds...

I wake up and have a cup of coffee, instead of turning to the news on tv I come to VN to read this update. Thanks for doing it and keep fighting the good fight. Soon...

I remember an ESPN Gameday show.
Think it was last year.
Singer Katy Perry was guest picker and she kept going on about how handsome Baker was and she wanted him to call her. It was really awkwardly hilarious because the guys on set like Corso didn’t know what to say.
I thought that was Trevor Knight

Sorry.. late to the party

Oh, gee. You're a woman with a pulse that likes Matthew McConaughey. That isn't a usual reaction or anything.

You know he cheers for the wrong UT, right?

Im sure many of you have read the Gruden thread. I talked to a couple of friends last night concerning business and afterwords talked about our Vols and the coaching situation. I had them bring up this Gruden thread and they just shook their head and smiled. One that was on the team in the past said "wow there are going to be a lot of people disappointed." He said Currie is busting his tail on the HC thing. He said a lot of things are going in in the background and a good hire would be made but it would not be Gruden. Gruden wants a pro job, doesnt want to recruit and all that goes with that. He thinks Mullen is the target. He said Mullen through back channels wants the job. Gruden, Petrino, Stoops, will not be hired. Just my business experience last night.

If he is right, Mullen would be a great hire. Offense would upgrade immediately. Needs good recruiters as assistants who can also develop defensive and offensive talent.

Morning all! Got in bed last night & decidedl to take one last look at the board & BAM! The MIT_Beaver posted again with a confidence booster (& not just to connect with Atlanta Vol). This came after I had read the VQ post someone shared ab a booster having second thoughts & still holding out. So I slept great , confident that this 10-year wandering in the desert is almost over! Interesting that the Beaver posted again after (I assume) communicating with AV.

If Mullen brings Todd Grantham, we will be fine on defense.

Grude morning everyone. Let us hope that good news reigns upon us today. As a wise man once said "If you ain't first, your last". And i feel like when this is all over and done. Gruden will be head ball coach at The University of Tennessee. And if that ain't first ladies and gents, I don't know what is.

I'd love to snag Mullen. Great get.....if we can pull it off. Seeing is believing though...especially where UT is concerned.

What the **LL! UT Athletics just hit my credit card this morning. If you've given them your number in the past, might not be a bad thing to check your Ccard this morning.
