That. Or the High rated DTs that they stay in the LBs lap a lot of the game. The all world juco DE who has no bend at all on the edge. The WRs who couldn’t get separation against umass. Every OL except Trey Smith. I could go on and on. Is some of it on development? Absolutely. But besides gaulden, Kelly, and at times bituli...there isn’t a lot of good players out there.

Kongbo at DT would be a better player than at DE. WRs have a terrible WR coach and separation has been a problem/excuse all 5 years under Butch along with spacing and too long of routes which means it's his system. He hasn't settled on an OL in 5 years just moves them all over the place.

There are players. Some not coached right. Some not forced to play the best position for their career. Some not allowed to play the best position for their career. All goes back to the idiot at the helm

Yep. I followed it pretty closely in 2012. Right down to following the sports reporter from Chattanooga who said it was signed, sealed and delivered and that he got confirmation from the Big Guy himself (which was governor Haslam). I'm not buying into it at all this time, and honestly think there are better college coach options out there.

Call me crazy but I'd be just as happy, if not happier, if we hired Frost or Mullen.

And bad coaches. Butch isn’t the only problem. That’s just what bass has convinced himself of. Once we fire butch and the interim loses he will say it’s curries fault because he let butch stay too long.

Agreed about other coaches. With some of the stuff coming out about how much bad the staff is at getting along and working together, I'm not sure an interim will help too much.

Hoke would be the obvious candidate on staff, but I doubt Shoop will be happy about being passed over for his DL coach.

Scott has had success as an interim, but why reward the worst OC in the SEC (who is at least partly to blame for Butch's firing in the first place)?

Shoop has HC aspirations and his unit has been successful, but I doubt Scott and Hoke would appreciate being passed up too much.

I'm not sure any of those guys is going to make us that much better at this point.

And who offered all of them

Yep. There’s not a good answer for interim.

I wonder if Shoop will get an interview for the HC job. Not saying he should get the job - just that he's an aspiring HC.

LOL no kidding. Are there any NFL coaches who make that?

Harbaugh is making somewhere around $9 million/year I think.

Not saying I buy that talk, but if some CFB team lands Gruden, it wouldn't surprise me to see him making around as much as Harbaugh.

HC # is def believable. Asst pool is not without it being a mega star studded staff like freaking Rex Ryan as DC or something else not in reality

He makes 7 I think. Weird first year clause in his contract was 9m for first year

Nobody knows what is happening. I love all the inside info that you guys believe and act like you know it for a fact. Matthews said they haven’t even made a decision on Butch yet. I trust him more than message board “insiders”
Bass, you knee-jerk react to every parcel of news whether it's good or bad in your eyes. And, now you're trying to lecture us that none of us know anything? C'mon man!

I do on mine when on VN now and it's almost intolerable.
Sometimes kicks me off while trying to escape the page.

Good news is apparently I've won a free iPad every single day

I'm pretty sure Freak doesn't use popups on his site, just banner ads at the top and the bottom of pages. I would check to see if it's another app or some type of virus.

Eh, I just don’t buy this team isn’t talented. I buy that their is a lot of talent that isn’t being used correctly, coached up and put in positions to win.

If you really believe this, why do you freak out at every little nugget of "inside info" that gets thrown around on here? Do you really trust Matthews that much, or does what he said just fit your agenda atm? FWIW, Matthews has been very outspoken in saying we have the right guys in place in the AD to make a good hire this time around. Do you trust that?

Currie could be doing a great job behind the scenes right now or he could be bungling it. We likely won't know for at least a month or so (and then for a few years depending on how the new coach works out).

There's no use in jumping to conclusions about it right now and calling for everybody to be fired just because you're incapable of being patient.

Because I’m in a glass case of emotion!
