My problem with the buy in on the Beaver/etc round of Grumors is they at times they throw in things that sound like the Basilio/1340 crowd. Really makes me think its a troll.

A group of their followers are the ones primarily responsible for Jimbo Hyams and things like that. They find stuff like that hilarious for some reason.

This debate has been going on since I was in school from 98-02 when the Bensel Meyers scandal came up. There are usually some high level academics who don't care to pay $6 million for a football coach.

I'm hoping it's all a non issue. I just wonder if career academics like Beverly Davenport think it's absurd to pay a football coach 6 or 7 million and shut it down. Don't think the big money people would let her interfere and do that though.

Herman was announced on November 26 and PC was November 27. I don't care what you call it, but there was some type of communication between Texas and Herman while he was at Houston. Searches don't go that quickly.

Same thing happened with Justin Fuente. Memphis beat SMU 63-0 in his last game on November 28, and he was announced at VTech on November 29.

I have a client. Ardent inside guy with the boosters and BOT for the Longhorns. Was beyond pissed before that game. “He’s coming back! All he has to do is beat this one win joke!” Strong had his apologists in the high ranks and they had the numbers. I trust his information. Commence laughing.

There we numerous reports they had decided to keep him until they lost that last game. I agree with your client.

Stories...just sayin. :) I’m positive that he was their number one choice but they still made a stab at Jimbo Fisher...were they NEGOTIATING with both? Inquiries and negotiations are two different things. Nothing was close to being signed, but any entity with a bunch of lawyers can have a forest of paperwork ready at a moment’s notice.

I think it's pretty obvious LSU and Herman had some sort of communication before the regular season was over. I don't know if it was just with the agent or a face to face but I am guessing it was just agent to AD.

He’s garbage. Smart is reigning in his passing crazy tunnel vision. Worked with Bielema also. He’ll cost them a tight game tho.

Also...y'all see the reports where Coach Mac at UF apparently lied about those "death threats"...apparently UF could fire him now without paying a buyout because of some clause in the contract.
