What has the beaver been saying because I've been ignoring the Gruden thread

Beaver has said it's a done deal. He doesn't know the timing of the Butch firing. People have been trying to figure out how he is connected, but it appears he is from Chattanooga and has a degree from MIT.

How can a deal with Gruden be done if we still have a sitting coach? I don’t understand honestly. Is he saying we are waiting for Gruden to say yes?

Gruden can verbally agree. Also, my guess is that Butch knows what is happening without anything going public and has been told not to leak anything because his money rides on it.

Watch them fire Mac at the end of the season and immediately hire Frost. Meanwhile, Currie is still on his "timetable plan" or whatever he is waiting on and we end up with Bobo or Satterfield.

I legitimately worry what the backlash would look like from the fanbase.

If that happens the fans need to boycott this program

I forget exactly how he's connected but it's on the financial side of things. He's saying Gruden accepted weeks ago and we're all just waiting for Currie to let Butch go to then introduce Gruden. But he doesn't know what the exact timeline will be. However he does know that ESPN will be the ones to break the story. So I think he knows from the ESPN side of things (Grudens current employer). And he's from Chattanooga so everyone in the Gruden thread has been cryptically trying to figure out who he is exactly. His handle is MIT Beaver.

The Beav also says that a big reason Gruden is coming, per him at least, is because ESPN was going to void his contract at the end of the MNF season. His contract is huge and ESPN is bleeding money.

To be fair we did have 2 former 5* DE and a former 4* DE about to start in the rotation. Idk if I ever believed it would be better than last year but I sure as hell thought it’d be better than what we have currently.

If you have a coach on the hook, it does change the calculus. It may be a tightrope for Currie...balancing winning, recruiting class, lawyers, and a plethora of other things we aren't privy to.

Currie has something up his sleeve or is just stone cold DGAF.Vol twitter and Vol Nation has and will continue to ratchet up the noise. Something has to happen one way or the other because I dont see him being able to hold his feet in the fire very long.

I don’t buy MIT being legit and Gruden coming, but he is damn convincing though.
