I keep posting this and I will continue to post it. If everyone wants jones gone then dont go to the game with So Miss . If there is only 60000 or 70000 fans in the stand then on Monday jones will be gone and the wheels will be in motion to hire a new coach. It always goes down that way Always. UT administration wont make a move until they see a large drop in attendance. This is a business to UT and it is ran like one. Everyone can go support the team after Jones is gone. I want a coach that can help our players achieve their goals and i don't think any of them signed up for what Jones is putting them through now. Currie has to man up and do what is right by them.

Hope you're right. I just worry about other teams spots filling up so kids will jump the gun and not wait around on us forever.

Scott is still the OC, this means either butch is already done and gone, or, we have a coach who isn't worried about losing his job.

After what we have seen on the field, I tend to believe Jones is already gone.

I'll hold onto optimism for a little longer.

Common sense says if he was fighting for his job, the OC would have been fired last week, today at worst. Once again, I'll hold off on judgement a little longer.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I don't remember this much code-breaking, subterfuge, smokescreen BS in Gruden 2012. Maybe I'm less patient now and just can't take all of this.

This whooooole thing is driving me crazy. Can someone get me banned from this thread so I can join the other crazies in gen pop permanently.

I'm going to be patient. But not that patient if Jones keeps blaming the players for the mistakes.

It's his job as a coach to motivate them and get them prepared for a game. If they aren't getting motivated, that's his job to find what is motivating them.

I saw a team go out Saturday that was completely and entirely unmotivated except the defense. And the defense was completely gassed by the 3rd quarter. The offense has talent, has the skills and has the ability to compete. It's your job, Coach, to find ways to get them into position to succeed.

Pure speculation. Certain people think they might know something and they agreed they should get rid of the evidence. Nothing more.

Edit: I literally know nothing. Just have followed enough to know that this group might have some good ideas and it’s best to not let vol nugs run with it.

I am amazed how many people read a post by someone and then add their own interpretation of what was said and claim the said things they never said.

Beaver may be a troll...... I certainly have my suspicions that he is.... but He said very clearly that he did not know the time table to Butch being fired

On the night of the 19th we were all talking golf and he said Saturday/Sunday. His post saying he didn't know a timeline was a day or 2 later.

If that’s the case, he would have been quoted (everyone always quotes him, immediately) Find the quote to prove your case.

Edit: I think you are think of THamilton, who appeared about the same time but has not been around since.

I am more in favor of everyone wearing black but still going to the game. Imagine a Vol Walk with 10,000 people lining the streets all wearing black and the stands completely blacked out. People can support the players and send a message at the same time. Wear black until Jones is gone.
