There’s no news on Tuesday. They wouldn’t trot him out there with business as usual and then fire him tomorrow. I think the Tuesday reference is for Gruden to check the box yes or no and slide the note back across the room for Currie to read.

I’m trying to convince myself that things are happening behind the scenes and Currie is only allowing this crap to continue because it will work out the best in the end. The only other explanation is that Currie and UT are ok with 7-5 and being a middle of the pack SEC team from now on. I feel like I’m watching Tennessee Football die a slow, painful death, and the doctor in the room with the cure refuses to give it.

Lol at y’all watching him and expecting something different. Posted this earlier in the RF, think it might need to be here as well.

Anybody that thought Jones was going to actually get it done here wasn’t paying attention to his time as a BearCat. I posted this back in Dec 2012 shortly after he was announced.

“After watching the Jones press conference, my deja vu feeling of nausea at the coach speak sent me out surfing multiple Bearcat boards and I found common themes concerning the new head coach.

Micro manager
Weak x's and o's guy
Paranoid
Bad late game management
No 2nd half adjustment
On field loyalty to less talented players
Big ego
Corny Butchisms
Unwillingness to adjust his way to current roster skill set
Fans more upset over loss of assistant coaches than head coach

The bammer and gator have gifted the Vols with Dooley 2.0 for a long term stretch. The only good things I could find were he works really, really hard and appears to be a recruiting upgrade over Doolz.

I avoided the obviously butthurt fans in reading statements concerning Jones, but most Bearcat fans think he is way out of his league in trying to coach in the SEC.

Ugh!!!!! Do I think Jones can win the SEC and a NC? No, but I hope I'm wrong.”

Hopefully the new AD gets it right this time.....

Welp. Jones is still here. Again like I stated before. I really am to the point where I don't think they will fire him because they don't want to pay him the buyout. The only way they'll get the message is if ppl STOP going to the games. Unfortunately, that's not going to stop because we have to many casual fans. The ones who just tune in on Saturdays for three hours and check back out till next weekends game. Those fans aren't seeing what us true fans are seeing day to day. I say that because on the FB feed of his press conference to many casual fans chime in and support this goon. So it makes say they're the causal fan. This is pathetic. Jokes on us.

7-5? :eek:lol: This team is looking at 5-7 at best.

I am not smart enough to know the right timing to show Jones the door. I am content to let that play out. I'll save my outrage for when the actual outcome is revealed.
