I have no inside information but just thinking here:

If it is true that UT not going to a bowl game would dramatically reduce Butch's buyout, I can certainly see the logic in him being here until after the Mizzu game.

Just the rambling thoughts of a life long Vol fan.

SOON!!!

It isn't true. Missing a bowl doesn't reduce his buyout.

At least your honest in your thoughts. I believe there is something to this, but I can certainly understand your position. I know you want what is best for UT. That's what we all should want. Hope I see your Grudemeter rise as we move forward. SOON!! GBO!!!! GET IT DONE CURRIE!!!!!

Oh, my biggest wish right now is to be completely wrong and Beave is legit.
I will happily take everyone's ridicule if Gruden is our next coach.

You’re such a tool

Listen. I'm sorry if i've hurt any of your "feelings." Like i said last night: I was here in 2012. I hung on every word of “insiders.” I hoped. I prayed. I got excited about the future of UT football and then..... it didn’t happen. I felt sick, discouraged and depressed.

Now, fast forward 5 years and the same claims are being made.

Hyamms is being reported as saying today that he spoke with Currie and Currie is willing to take the heat, loss of donations, etc. if retaining Butch is what's best for the program. That doesn't sound like a man who hired Gruden last week.

At the end of the day, we all want what's best for TN. I'm not that old - but I do remember the good days. When I first joined VN 11 years ago, the only fans being bashed were those of the opposing teams.

I hope we all soon have reason to have those conversations again.

I take them both in doses but Clay bothers me more when he gets on his political tirades for days on end. I tuned in a few weeks ago for a few days and he talked about the Michael Bennett situation way too much and wanted way too much credit for being the only media member discussing it. Clay does care way too much about being correct. Finebaum is more entertaining and stays the course of what his show is IMO.

Clay dogs out espn for being too political and then does the exact same thing. Totally agree with your post.

Since we are bashing ole Clay, he regularly comes on the Gary Parrish show here in Memphis fairly often.

Ole GP is extremely political on his SPORTS show.

Not the case. Butch would be entitled to a $100k bonus IIRC, if he appears in a SEC 7th pick or later bowl.

He said he didn't go to Baylor or Mccallie. I've been trying to figure out this riddle for days. The car is distinctive, and there can't be more than 4 MIT grad school grads that didn't go to Baylor, mccallie, or GPS, and aren't engineers at tva. I'm stumped. I'm not Baylor, if you catch my drift, and my husband covers knowledge of the North side of the river. I wouldn't think you are Baylor either.

I'm from Chattanooga and if he actually went to MIT then he definitely went to a private high school. Public school kids don't get into those types of universities unless they are international students or very ethnic with a unique backstory. There are 10 times more students with perfect admission scores than spots open at schools like that. They don't take middle class white kids from public schools even if they did make a 2400 on the SAT and had a 4.0. I know from experience back when I was graduating from high school. I barely got into Vandy with awesome test scores and a great GPA but had a friend who went to Baylor and got into Yale. I was way smarter than him, had a better GPA and scored 3 points higher on the ACT. That's the way colleges work these days though.

If he only went to grad school there, then that makes it more likely he could've gone to high school anywhere in Chatt, got his undergrad from a public state university, and then went from there.

That's all I'm guessing though. Even though I don't really believe him, I'm not going to try and figure out who he is if that's what he wants. Here's to hoping Butch is about to be fired.

I get it...the mystery of the Beav's identity is intriguing. I only want to echo the sentiment that if the code is cracked I hope there isn't a moment where we shout it from the rooftops. It's one thing to sit back and know yourself, but it's another thing to out somebody that doesn't ask to be outed.

I will say this for him. He is going to go down as a Volnation legend one way or another. Either he is incredibly plugged in to this situation and bringing us the goods, or he will be known as the best and most notoriously detailed troll in the history of message boards. I'm ok with either (as long as CBJ is actually fired). This is incredible entertainment.
Agree stay classy

If you're here, Charlie, who's on rat duty right now?

It takes a very humble and sincere person to come back in here and say that.

I definitely respect that. 👊🤙

If he went to MIT then I'm the mole on Cindy Crawford's lip.
