Nothing to report. I've still not heard anything negative, and am still on board. Everybody has clammed up and I'm just along for the ride too. I was originally told it could take until after the KY game, which I refused to believe. But I'm not going to worry until then, unless I hear something else.

Thanks sir!

Serious yet possibly silly question...

Is there anyway that the boosters could put in a clause that states something along the lines of any increased revenue for the University generated by this hire would offset the amount of the buyout that they were on the hook for? That would make it, strictly from a monetary standpoint, a win/win for the University.

If i knew answers to questions like that I wouldn't be sitting in my cubicle about to get fired because I've been on VN for the past 2 weeks instead of doing any work

Doyle, just being the devil's advocate.........Rumor is the boosters are footing the buyout. Wouldn't UT and not the boosters be the beneficiary of future profits due to Gruden's hiring?

edit : kid deezy beat me to it.

If, and that is a big if, this did turn out to be true, Currie would be dealing with a backlash of epic proportions

If butch is still coach Saturday, he’s here for the season. I have no source, no stats, and no ecred, but take it to the bank😬

While I agree with you to a certain extent, it would just be looking at the money side in the short term. If you hire the right guy (Gruden) that would energize the fanbase into a frenzy the long term profits would far outweigh any short term savings. Assuming the rumors are true and Tennessee has Gruden in their pocket, going ahead and firing Jones now would be a sound investment. Each day that passes keeping Jones employed is money lost.

It's this reasoning that has me doubting MIT's story and starting to question if Gruden has been anywhere near to taking the job at all.

That is a good point. I'm on the side of rich people being tight wads, but sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

I know there has been nothing good to tweet with regards to football, but any one else think its a little odd that Currie Tweets, Tennis, Volleyball, Golf, and so much more but has not sent a single tweet regarding football recently. He is avoiding the elephant in the room for sure.
We will find out around noon CT whether the rumor is real..

I agree 100 percent. If not today then no other time this season makes sense. No benefit. AD should just come out and say we are going to reevaluate after the season.

Take comfort that I'm not a billionaire and just a working class Joe. So, what do I know about business on that level?
If I were you I would wait until the Gruden thread big wigs like ape show up and get his opinion. Lol!

I thought I was joe?
