Currie seems to be good at the misdirection by leaking bad info to keep everyone guessing.

It's "do or die" for Butch. If he wins out (possibly even goes 4-1) then he stays. If he loses any game other than LSU, he is gone and they will name an interim. Remember that UT was only predicted to finish 8-4 by most "experts" and 7-5 by some fans. Like it or not, if he gets to 8 wins with a bowl I'm not convinced they will fire him. Other than that, we will know nothing until a coach is at the podium. Currie and inner circle aren't going to show their hand. There could be some other P5 vacancies, and they won't want another team to outbid them for who they want. Unfortunately, I fear it will be someone about 3 or 4 names down the list. Right or wrong, vol fans have a bad rap as does the apparent power struggle/divisiveness amongst our BOT. Not many established coaches want to deal with that. Just my opinion, of course. I will support our players to the bitter end, but my expectations are ZERO until true change is achieved.

As always, GBO!

The Warrior Snapchat is puzzling. If the rumors of Butch's firing turn ou to be true, we may look back and realize that was our smoking gun.

Nah he’s gone no matter what. Just a matter of when/how.

All speculation on my part, but I kinda have a feeling Currie wants to see Butch finish with 7-8 wins so he can get another job quickly and take a chunk out of that buyout.

"If Butch wins out"? We are literally the worst P5 offense in CFB. We'll be lucky to win a single game the rest of the way if Butch is on the sidelines. It's year 5 and we're 0-4 in conference play with the worst offense in America after another coordinator change. It's over for Butch. Haven't quite figured out why it hasn't already been done but no way is he back next fall.

And they better not screw this hire up and miss on a gamble or this program will be Nebraska...a once proud powerhouse who has been irrelevant for a decade and will continue to be that way for at least another decade.

Being 126 out of 130 teams in total offense is beyond awful.

We have a veteran and deep OL. We have a red shirt freshman QB who was one of the most talented in the country coming out of high school. We have a star in John Kelly and a completely misused speedster in Ty Chandler.

Yes we are missing Jennings, but the level of incompetence on offense is completely unacceptable.
