I doubt it is true but John Harbaugh might be a better pull than Jon Gruden. Maybe slightly less name recognition but he has had more relevant success and experience. I would like an offensive minded coach though and would like Frost but would not sneeze or balk at Harbaugh.

Yeah, and saying "even if it was accurate" was unnecessary too but you felt like you had to get that dig in. You meant it. It's ok .

True.
Because it's how I felt.
I made a comment about how far our football program had fallen and received a condescending, sarcastic response. That tends to provoke a less than pleasant reaction.

Why don't you read my original post again and pretend that our team looks really bad and the qbs are underperforming. See if that doesn't at least open the possibility that you jumped the gun and overreacted a little.

If Harbaugh is indeed interested throw whatever you did at Gruden and maybe more. Would be a grand slam hire.

If we did get Harbaugh, I wonder if he would go get cam Cameron from LSU as his oc

Correct. He's not in a position to use other openings for leverage. If his agent actually contacted us, it's legitimate interest (not sure I believe it, though).

I think they'd be about the same. I know he's catching heck right now, but Jim is still one of the top college coaches in the game.

Already admitted I was wrong. Still didn't call anyone a prick and I doubt you talk to people like that in person. I am sarcastic in person.

He's not. He wants a raise or extension from the ravens if it's even true that his agent reached out. He could easily get another NFL job.

Then wouldn't he leak interest in another NFL job to gain leverage. I'm not convinced he had legitimately expressed interest, but if he has, I doubt it would just be for leverage in this case.

You may be right, but I don't know if his situation at Baltimore is stable enough for that play right now. Baltimore may be happy to call his bluff.

Unfortunately, if someone blindsides me, I do. Doesn't make it right, that's why I edited.
But for your part, next time you realize that you misunderstood something, maybe understand why you ticked that person off by being so sarcastic. A simple "my bad" from you and we would have laughed it off by now.

I think he makes $7m/year and he got a 1 year extension this year through 2019 but there's also some talk that if he doesn't make the playoffs this year he could be on the hot seat.

Still he'd have to compare a 2 year $14m contract with a potentially 7 year $49m contract with a nice golden parachute.

I like his resume. Defense wins championships.

We are all so mad about everything with the program. Short fuses for all. I know for me it is. Also know, I can very well be a prick.

Yep. It's hard to not get defensive when we are all so aggravated. Plus it's hard to know how to take things on a message board sometimes. A simple comment can be taken totally out of context in relation to the way it was intended

This was just published 8/2017. He just got a short extension which would make me thino he is looking for love or a clean start. He has been to the playoffs more than any active coach besides Belicheck.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is getting a little breathing room on his deal.

With a contract originally set to expire after the 2018 season, Harbaugh got his pact extended a year through 2019, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, per a source informed of the deal. The Ravens' official site confirmed the report on Monday afternoon.
