Dish has offices all over California. He said he's in LA. This would make the most sense if he actually turns out to be legit, but I'm still skeptical.

I assume if he is associated with dish he is probably an heir, if this is the case it would be like info from an heir to the Haslams, that would change the dynamics of his info.

F personal privacy. Freak, can’t you just google the email address the Beaver signed up with and find out who he is? Where he posts, and what his email is linked to? It would be justified because he’s a potential troll

Anyone else notice around the time MIT showed up out of nowhere as well as others stating pretty good news several "insiders" started issuing definitive "no go" on Gruden with the ridiculous "afraid to compete" reason? If he's connected to a booster and the UTAD isn't ready for the Gruden news to blow open, do the initiate misinformation campaign? As of the AD was thinking "no no not yet". If we know that the "no-go" insiders sources are AD, then just maybe...

And Charlie's son, Chris, is on an advisory board for a Venture company.

Edit: They're could be two different Chris Erdgen's with high ranking roles at Dish, I just assumed it was his son, Christopher, but I'm not 100 percent sure on this one.

Edit: It most definetly is his son. A Denver newspaper wrote a story on it. Bubba brought up mention of a VC company earlier, that's why I thought this was worth sharing.

Why a misinformation campaign here? We are all a bunch of nobody’s. I doubt the AD cares what we all know or dont know. Not like John currie is like get on Volnation.com and spread some BS. Y’all are overthinking this crap

It's funny...you would think this would be one of the most unhinged of the forums right now, and it is. However due to the general feeling of misery all throughout volville this is actually about the most chill of all the VN forums right now. It is heated out there today my friends

One thing is odd or different...... There is NO info being leaked. Crickets or tree frogs is all we are hearing.

Ugh...no info leaking because there is no info. Butch will be given the 'infinity extension.' No wonder Kstate hated Currie.

He cares about whether his staff can keep their mouths shut. Leaks can jeapordize contract negotiations, staff recruiting, etc.

Tell only one staffer something specific (and wrong), and see if it turns up in social media. If it does, he knows who can't keep his mouth shut.

AAAAAAAAnnnddd with all the decommits, looks like all we will have on the field next year will be a bunch of walk-ons. Nice job, UTAD

I am afraid you are right. Currie continues to play the fiddle while Rome burns to the ground.

And I should probably see myself out. My mood is sour and I am the most negative I have ever been regarding Tennessee Football. But I currently can't find the exit...

You're not as dumb as you look, Ike.

Sorry, brother...had to do it. You picked the avatar.

I'm not in love with Charlie Strong. Now, in terms of character and recruiting, I think he's right up there with any of them. But I think he peaked at the coordinator level. He walked into a loaded roster at USF, and let's face it, that schedule is a long ways away from the SEC, or ACC, or whatever conference Texas is in this week. Charlie's in a good place for Charlie. Florida talent, weak conference, and a school where he can handle the pressures of being the man in charge.

Frost may love Nebraska, but he's had a taste of southern talent, and he knows he'll never pull the studs in Lincoln that he could in Knoxville. Still, if he's an HFL, then that's probably where he ends up, and no one can blame him for that.

My jury is still out on Norvell.

My knowledge of the FBS / FCS coaching ranks would not impress any true student of the game. When looking at the "next up & comer", I tend to focus on G5 coaches and P5 coordinators. The difference between the G5 and P5, IMO, is much akin to the difference between FCS and FBS. It's a whole new level. For example, Dino Babers (who gave us fits at BGSU) is a perfect fit for Syracuse. He's going to do well there. Syracuse is one good step up from BGSU. But had he gone to, say, Texas...the change in altitude and pressure would have probably been too much. Again, JMO.

For what it's worth, here's what I took away from that video of Currie on the field last night: "I will never, ever, go through this again." That was the look of a man who was embarrassed, pissed, and determined to get it right next time. Let's hope he does.

Go Vols.

Thats funny you said that about Frost. The guys I were talking to today said the same thing. That Frost was very calculated in the coaching decisions and that UT would be a much better option for him than Lincoln. They also said because of the money involved that all this talk about "going home" doesn't matter anymore. One of them actually said it never did and gave the example of Vince Dooley and Pat Dye.
