Some people buy tickets well in advance and only are able to make it to one game. It seems unfair to them and their kids to expect them to boycott the game. It's also a little bit sad for the players to play in a partially empty stadium. What I would like to see is a "black out" as a show of displeasure in the state of the program in general and Jones in particular. If every fan attending the game that was disillusioned and ready to see Jones fired wore black, it would be a powerful statement. I think it would speak more loudly than empty seats. It would say "we're still here, we're more passionate than ever, and a change must be made." Empty seats are often interpreted as apathy and a lack of passion.
BLACK OUT EVERY HOME GAME UNTIL JONES IS GONE!
