I agree, and love this thread. I want to hope and haven’t said nothing about our other guys. I just think that one in particular is trolling.

I don't understand the fascination with tee. Isn't his offense with a heisman hopeful qb getting shutout by Notre dame and has been pretty bad all year?

i had heard similar too, and even that he had indicated in '12 that he would entertain the right kind of offer because for whatever reason he is not all that enamored with FSU

No offense to DTO bringing what info he hears, but there is no effin way we go from giving Gruden a Saban like deal per LWS and then suddenly go after Fleck as our top target.

I did too. Saw it started “Tennessee Coach Butch Jones...” and my heart rate jumped. Then I read the rest “...calls his players flipping off Alabama unacceptable”.

ESPN just does not need to start any mobile notifications like that if the next words are not “fired”

If we don't get Gruden, then I expect the next tier of coaches to avoid this job like the plague it has become. Currie will have to go the Butch 2.0 route, and his career will basically be over and we'll be stuck in this rut at least another 5 years.

Gruden rumors have been crazy all week. If your so inclined, go to VolQuest and you will see all week I have indicated I felt it was less than a 5% chance him becoming our coach. I've never indicated to anyone I thought we would get it done, in 2012 or this year. I have always felt he was not a college coach.

He was not offered a deal in 2012. He gave boosters a list of demands which they carried to others. Discussions among all of them was demands could not be met (money was okay, it was the control things he demanded). At some point, some boosters convinced Hart to try to discuss the control issues with Gruden and see if they could resolve. When Hart called him to go and discuss those, Gruden said don't bother to come. That was the end of it. No offer was ever extended.

Not sure I said they would not go the Gruden route a week ago. I may have said something like I didn't believe Gruden would ever be coach here. I've been consistent with that..

If you can locate a link to where I said something different I will certainly apologize.

I'm not saying Tee is a savior coach but if we are down to Frost, Fleck. Etc then we ain't doing much better anyway and maybe coach Cut could show him a thing or two.
