And if Gruden has agreed to take the job then you go ahead and fire Jones an hour ago. If for no other reason than to get a jump start on the smokescreen of an actual coaching search. Then when you go through that for an ample period of time, you make the Gruden hire public, save the recruiting class, and become the biggest story in college football.

Sitting on a deal with Gruden and letting Jones continue only hurts the program's future.


The only way I am going to buy your info is if Jones is officially fired in the next 48 hours. If that happens I will humbly apologize and rain torrents of ecred upon you.

If Butch is to be fired before seasons end (which I cannot see why he wouldn’t be) why would you wait and give him a chance to win a game at all. I doubt we get handled worse than we did today by anyone left on our schedule.

It would be easier and look more legit to do it now. If he wins against Kentucky and and is still coach when we play at home next, look at the money the AD will lose from people not coming.

Because Currie could be using it as leverage to reduce his buyout.

But, JF has NFL record of 0.512 vs. JG overall NFL record of 0.541.

Both went to one Super Bowl. JF lost by a couple yards, JG won.

Just saying, it is not a night/day difference between the two.

My apologies,got a little carried away myself in my response. Too harsh I know, a little butt hurt after another bammer beat down. FWIW I don't think Fisher is the worst coach ever, but I do only think that he would be a nominal upgrade over what we have.
