Sorry guys but talked to my source today... has been right on with every hire.... when I asked him directly about Gruden.... He laughed and said "There is NO WAY that Currie offers Gruden after the last time"

Says that Gruden lead them on last time and them jumped ship at last minute... blames the falling apart of the deal not on Hart, but on the man himself... This is not looking good from my perspective.... Remember... I WANT GRUDEN but this guy has been right on every hire from Kiffin on....

This is certainly possible. Gruden might think he wants to coach again...until he gets down to making a commitment. Then he remembers how hard he had to work. In other words, the thought of coaching is much better than the reality of coaching. Hope we are all wrong.

But, I will add that it sounds like your guy’s opinion other than a statement of facts.

Heck after it was over Gruden said he was never even contacted and I don't know what reason he would have to lie about it after the fact.

There was egg on the face of everyone involved and he was ditched aside by Hart for Butch. I guess I'd lie about it too.

This is certainly possible. Gruden might think he wants to coach again...until he gets down to making a commitment. Then he remembers how hard he had to work. In other words, the thought of coaching is much better than the reality of coaching. Hope we are all wrong.

The man wakes up at 4 in the morning and studies film and has made adjustments to his schemes over and over even though he isn’t a coach. Don’t get me wrong, he will be working much harder than now if he takes over the UT HC, but he seems like he has a burning desire to coach again.

So you said he's been right on every hire since Kiffin, but he thought we were hiring Strong when we got Butch. So basically he got one hire right (Dooley)?!?? I think I'd be finding a new source

No that is not correct!
He told me we would hire Kiffin before I ever heard his name .... he was right

Next He told me Dooley.... He was right

Next He told me we would hire Strong when I was saying Gruden... We did but Strong didn't get on the plane... So basically he was right

He told me Butch.... but was close there as it was only a day or two before the announcement
