Do you know if Butch is out this week or is Currie going to let him break the streak? (Never had 8 losses)

Looking at your question again, I DO think that Currie was playing chicken with Butch to some extent. Remember the talk of Currie wanting to give Butch the entire season? That was a threat.

"I will let you run your career into the ground if you don't agree to walk away with a little dignity," or something similar.

And Currie could afford to make that threat. Because the right hire shifts the paradigm. And I do think that he's known for a while who the right hire is.

Thanks for your input, I am a beach person and love it there. I'm sure that area has problems just like every city or town has and I am sure the sports fans do suck but just something of note...we stayed at the Sundunes condos the year before last and there was a house across the street that was decked out in UT flags so there are some good guys in the area

Very familiar with those condos. It really is a lovely area, and I do enjoy the small town atmosphere. If you are beach people and don't want to be in an urban center, it's perfect for you.

Seems to me that if Currie fires Butch after Bama then there is a very good chance that Gruden is or will be hired very soon after and an announcement would be made quickly but an interim will be named for the rest of the season. Imo this would happen to excite the fan base and put butts in the seats (more revenue) just due the excitement that it would bring. (just speculation on my part...not an insider. Check my stats)

Didn't SFD say today that she believed Gruden would want to finish coaching the high school team where the other son plays?

If that is true, would he had to wait to be named the head coach of TN, until there season is over?

The small town atmosphere is what we love about it (we hate Destin) but it is close enough to Destin and Pensacola if we want some commercial atmosphere or to catch a charter and go fishing but I fear the powers that be in Navarre seem to be pushing to commercialize more which bothers me.

I've heard different things about Gruden's ESPN deal and whether it allows him to bail at his option if a coaching job comes up, or not. Those details are going to determine what happens with the rest of your timeline.

There is a definite push to incorporate Navarre. It's the fastest growing area of the county by far.

I believe she also said that season ends in early-mid November. Which is pretty soon.

Xbox is how I unwind, but haven't had a lot of time for it recently, unfortunately.
