Makes perfect sense. I could see that happening. We keep Butch, totally tank next year, then it comes out that we had like 12 players academically inelligible for that Bama game after Butch is gone and we have to forfeit that win.

I'm definitely not new to this. Those little numbers beside your name are your posts. In case you didn't know. But getting butch out is infinitely more difficult if he is left to coach a winnable game. It's not very often a coach gets fired after a win. And what if he wins ky and then another and then another? And maybe even gets a bowl game? And wins that? It's not unbelievable to think it could happen. Just saying it doesn't make sense to keep him employed if a decision has already been made to replace him. TN will look even worse if they fit a coach after a conference win. Maybe Bama will be so embarrassing they will pull the trigger tomorrow night and put us all out of our misery.

I completely agree which is why stating anything is 100% is ballsy because things can change so quickly. I just wanted UT to give their all the way they ask the boys on the field to do. If they do that and fail, so be it.

Not really ballsy if he is in fact a troll. Trolls don't care about the aftermath of being exposed. They get their laughs and either leave or make a new account. So what if he's proved wrong. All trolls are eventually proved wrong, they derive their enjoyment from the emotional manipulation and disappointment of others.

It takes zero balls to make exciting claims if youre a troll. Not saying MIT is or isn't, just saying caveat emptor.

Don't give up hope, as I said in the original post, this also includes anyone saying a deal was rejected.

The one thing that could have happened by now is the gauge of interest. I believe we would be interested, I don't have the foggiest idea if he would actually have any interest. That's open to every one's own opinion for the time being.
