Nope my best dude met him years ago and knew I was a GOT book nut. GRRM read some of the book to a small audience somewhere that day. I lost interest in the long wait for Feast.

Wow. I would straight up fan girl all over the place if I met him. It's probably best that I don't.

I feel you on the wait. It's been 6 long years I've been waiting for Winds of Winter. Just about every morning I expect a ticker to roll across the screen announcing his death from too much pigeon pie. It will be a very sad day for me.

I love the show, but I much prefer to read it. I have yet come to terms with I'll probably never get his ending in written form.

All of this is assuming a buyout hasn't been reached between the University and Butch Jones as reported by DTO. If a buyout has been reached than there could by a clause in the agreement that allows the University to go ahead and get into a contract with a potential coach.

Yes! I think it is over simplified to look at it and say "we have a coach." Currie looks at Butch and says, "behind door 1 you have a get out of Knoxville next Sunday card with your payout, and behind door 2 we have the whole rest of this season, your tanked reputation, and payments on your payout." Door 1 has a severance date earlier this week. Not hard.
